I suggested and she didn't even reject my suggestion as I went to grab two glasses of water and she helped me carry it as we walked through the backdoor and towards them. “Magnus came to ask us for help. There is a war coming. This is what wanted to discuss with you.” I could hear Ace telling Alpha Kai as he nodded. “We’ll talk about it next time.” It seemed that they were talking so seriously and were in a deep conversation before we even got there. And upon our arrival, they suddenly stopped. They must have not wanted us to hear it. And alas, with their alpha abilities, their eyes simultaneously turned to us. I could see that Ace smirking at me... He dropped the axe he was holding as he wiped my cheeks, “Did you like the view, sweetheart?" I wanted to tease him and smiled at him, "Definitely." I then grabbed a glass of water and let him drink it. "You know we could sense you two watching us and gawking there. " He added, and I could see Arya acting nonchalantly to Kai
"Awe, get easy on me!" I asked, clearly scared of me and she nodded. "I'll try." I pouted but just sighed as I started to get in a defensive posture. I would be amazed if I got out of here alive. Alpha Ace was smirking proudly behind me. While Arya didn't bother looking at Kai's expression. She let me attack her first and she just dodged all my punches. I know she wasn’t showing me her full power. She might be only mustering 25% of her abilities so that she wouldn't hurt me. I punched and kicked and even faked some attacks on her but she was just going easy with me. I only managed to scrape her knee and I didn't even manage to lay my hand on her. “Damn this was a bad decision. I have to end this soon. This only makes me look bad. It's like comparing a child with someone that has years of experience.’ I swear I could feel her thinking that. I fell on the ground with my butt hitting the cold grass. Damn it. I knew this would happen. But oh well. "So? Is it clear n
I thought about it…Well, he has a point…but then it was wrong to sneak up behind us like that! And worse, Arya is not at all wearing any clothes! She was proudly standing there facing Gusev, and Gusev seemed to not mind at all. I guess this was normal for them…yes, I forgot. “Why not find someone to play with? Someone other than us?” I suggested, not wanting to deal with him now. Arya, who looked so confused between us, cleared her throat, wanting to butt in our argument, “You two know each other?” “Yes, and we’re very close.” Gusev answered, “I am Gusev by the way.” Arya nodded, still wary of him as if she does not want to say her name. However, Gusev was advanced already as he spoke up, “Yes, nice to meet you, Arya.” Arya squinted her eyes and cocked her head to the side. “You know my name.” Oh boy. Ace will be furious once he sees Gusev here….I have to push him away before Ace smells his scent. “I just lived long enough to know everyone.” He answered. She glanced at m
“This is not the time to fight. We have enemies ahead,” Arya said, glaring at both of them. Tension is starting to linger now as both alphas look like they will kill each other any minute now. But Ace was still grabbing him by the throat “Your brother asked me to save you. I did so because of our history!” “Calm down. What is happening with you, Ace.” Alpha Kai said, trying to maintain calmness but he is getting irritated each second now. “You’re too dumb. Your brother is planning to kill us all here. He leads the fowlers to come to us.” Ace blurted out, and even Arya covered her mouth in shock. Alpha Kai’s brother? That must be his other twin, right? And he must also be Arya’s other mate! Hearing this news shocked her! She shook her head. “Zef? No, he won’t do that.” “It’s because of your damn competition with your mate, isn’t it? And you dare involve me and my mate in this?” Ace cursed out. Gosh, I hate seeing him like this. I have to do something to make the mood lighter.
Darkness. And the sound of water echoing from a distance. I couldn’t pinpoint where it is exactly however, my body is not listening to me. My body was doing the exact opposite of what I was telling it to do, and that is to reach for the fire lit in a torch in the middle of the room. I knew I would be burned yet my body is still determined to reach for it, and before long, I could hear someone saying, “You are destined for it.” I turned around to check who it was but was pulled away as I heard a familiar voice. “Kira, wake up, my darling.” The familiar British accent pulled me away, and my body jerked upright, breathing deeply. I looked to my right and see the expectant look of a vampire. The same vampire Gusev. I breathed deeply to calm my heartbeat from beating deeply. He clicked his tongue, “Had a bad dream uh?” I nodded, wanting to ask a question but my throat was dry. “You do get as the sleeping princess every time there is a fight.” He commented and I cleared my
It was only a few seconds when Ace pulled me away from Arya as he said, “Okay, that is enough. I’ll be keeping Arya as my prisoner here and waiting for Kai to show up. I’ll be punishing them.” As soon as Alpha Ace announced that, I looked at her with pity, “What? Ace! No!” Just then, Alpha Ace went to Arya, not listening to my pleas, and grabbed her hand, securing it so she wouldn’t be able to escape. Arya struggled, and I was also pushing him away and trying to force myself between them when suddenly, an arrow went into Ace’s shoulders, letting blood all over it. I gasped, silence fell for a second before I could feel everything going in slow motion. I thought they had already finished all of the fowlers, our enemies? And how could Ace not dodge that? But judging by a man standing there with his bow and arrow, splattering it around us was making me sick. Ace growled, howling at the man as he tried to attack the man. His hands managed to put claw marks on the fowler but the
My mouth formed a tight line, and I was about to scream again when he was fast enough to put his hands on my lips again, “Stop screaming bitch! You’re alerting them! Want us to never be able to escape here?” I shook at the thought and pulled my lips in a tight line. “Good, now watch your mouth! Be calm!” He ordered firmly. “Why the hell am I in this cage with you? Why the hell do these chains hurt? And where are they taking us?” I asked in fear, now calming down. He shook his head, wanting to facepalm as he know this is the worst possible scenario. “Atleast they should have chosen the perfect werewolf to get here, not this weak human beside me! What could she do when I try to initiate my escape plan? She’s just bitching around! An overreacting woman. This is not good.” He didn’t say that, but I know damn well that he was thinking about that. “You remember what happened that night?” He asked. Through the darkness, my expression suddenly changed into disbelief, “What night? A
A few hours passed after knowing that I am captured by my own clan and also in the same cage with Alpha Kai. Never in my life was I imprisoned like some kind of animal. Even Alpha Ace himself treated me with so much kindness and respect even when he kind of hated me the first time we met. But most of all, I did not expect that it would be my kind that would betray me like this. Bound in chains, with nothing to drink and nothing to eat. The whole cage was dirty filled with animal dung and pee as if a pig was kept here before us. And since I have somehow shared my mate’s sensitive senses, the mere smell of the animal dung was enough to put me to sleep. I wanted to wallow in self-pity but what I am experiencing is not near to what Alpha Kais is experiencing. He has been silent with some occasional grunts and growls. He’s the one being affected here the most. I am just glad that we are in the same cage and that we would be able to talk. Also, I am happy that they did not put poison
