Being a father has not been easy, but I am aware that Kira's job is three times harder than mine.

I was staring at my wife as we both lay in bed.

I breathed in deeply, smelling her shampoo, the scent I associate with my own house, and I sank deeper into her long hair. I looked into the identical eyes that had made me fall in love.

"Adrian is training for his alpha duties, and Adalric and Kaira are at their spell class, babe," I said with a devilish grin after thinking, "It has been a while since we are left alone."

Kira innocently lifted her beautifully groomed eyebrows and asked, "So?”

What do you mean by "so"? I sneered. I leaned in and chuckled, "Oh honey, you're playing so hard to get now. You know exactly what I'm referring to.." I slowly trained my hands on her shoulders and she gave me the look.

“We're elderly and already have kids, honestly, babe, why do you get that much stamina?” I laughed as I jokingly patted my hand away.
