97 Epilogue II

“He just really takes after you. Seeing him reminds me of when you were first staying at the pack. Reckless, disobedient, and immature.”

I chuckled, I guess Adrian really takes after me. I can’t deny that.

Ace’s eyes were droopy. I let him sit in the living room and made him coffee in the kitchen. When I was done, he was not sitting on the sofa anymore. I searched for him and made my way upstairs to my children's bedroom.

Ace was sitting at the edge of Kaira’s bed. He was silent, just staring at our child, Adalric. He tucked his blanket and kissed him on his forehead. Ace then walked to the other side of the bed where Kaira is sleeping.

I see our daughter hugging him in her sleep. "Love you, daddy."

I can't help but smile sadly. Ace is so busy that he can only see our children once in a while. I know he really misses them, so much that he ditches his work always, just to see his children. I stood in the hallway, watching them. This is their only free time. I should not interfere.
