Sebastian
“Where’s Hannah?” Sebastian demanded to know.
“All you need to know is that she’s safe,” Xander said, his tone darkening. “If you knew what was good for you, you would leave here now.”
“I’m not leaving without her. Bring her to me.”
“I’m afraid she’s busy right now,” he chuckled. “But as I said, she’s perfectly safe. My servants have orders to keep her protected at all costs.”
“What is it you want with her?”
“I think you know exactly what it is I want,” Xander answered. “Once I’m in complete control of both our territories, I’m going to need a queen to rule with me. That’s where the lovely Hannah comes to play.”
Sebastian felt fury rising through his body. There was no doubt that if he had his wolf, he would have lost control by now.
“
Sebastian “Erik,” Sebastian said, going toward his wolf. Erick lifted his head. He was awake. “You old bastard. I knew you would be too strong to be weakened by that vampire asshole.” “Took you long enough,” Erik said; his voice was weak, but as Sebastian approached, he could feel him growing stronger. “We don’t have long. Once the full moon is at its peak, Xander will be powerful enough to take full control.”“He has Hannah,” Sebastian told him. “He wants to marry her and make her his queen. But she’s not going to go along with that.” “He’s powerful; is she strong enough to resist him? He seems to be able to mind-wash people down here.” Sebastian scoffed at the very thought of Hannah falling victim to the vampire k
HannahEverybody was dancing in celebration; they were celebrating Xander’s vow to marry me. He had ordered that they danced; so, they danced. The women were gorgeous and danced around their men elegantly. It was easy to see who vampires were and who was stuck here as an outsider. The vampires were pale, yet they were flawless. Their auras were dark, and all their eyes had a golden tint around their pupils, just like Xander’s.The ones trapped were pink-fleshed from the heat that bothered their skin. Their eyes were lifeless and although they maintained a pleasant attitude and plastered smiles, I could see the misery lingering in their eyes. They weren’t happy, despite what they were saying. I knew my mother wasn’t happy either. How could she possibly be happy in a place like this?“Dance with me, my love,” Xander said, reaching out his slender hand to me.I glanced up at him with a frown.“Don’t call me that,” I told him. “And no thank you.”He laughs a low and dark laugh as he grabb
Hannah“We need to get out of here,” Nora breathed. “I can’t stand it here for another moment.”I agreed with her, but escaping wasn’t going to be that easy. Especially, when I was outnumbered.“Have you seen Sebastian?” I asked.“Yes!” she said. “He’s…” she paused for a moment. She was hesitant about continuing her sentence.“He’s what?” I urged.“He’s the reason I was able to escape from the cage I was held in,” she said softly. “He’s trying to find you as we speak.” I looked around to see if anyone had noticed the return of my wolf. Nobody was paying any attention to me; they were all off in their own little worlds. Including my mother who was now speaking with a gentleman, I didn’t recognize. Liam was the only one who was eyeing me carefully; I could tell he was still worried for me.I went to him, grabbing onto his arm gently and speaking in a tone so low that only he could hear me.“You must listen to me. It’s not safe here. You need to come with us.”He shook his head with a t
Hannah“Mate?” I repeated, keeping my tone low to not alert Gabe. “I don’t understand…”“It’s true, Hannah!” Nora breathed. “I don’t understand it either, but Sebastian’s not just our chosen mate. He’s our fated mate. That’s why we always felt so drawn to him. It was meant to be!” “How did we not know this before?” “Maybe because his wolf wasn’t whole. The part of his wolf that would recognize us as our mate and vice versa was trapped in the underworld.” “But Henry…” “Lied to us,” she said flatly. “He was using that part of Sebastian’s wolf to make us think he was our mate. It was all a lie… it was Xander pulling the strings and…”Her voice trailed off as Sebastian finished climbing out of the vent. He had a mixture of emotions on his face as he ran toward me. He wrapped me in his arms and held me close to him. The warmth of his body blanketed me, and I nearly melted into him. I could feel our mate bond strengthening with each passing moment; it was like we were officially connect
SebastianSebastian recalled the moment he rescued their wolves from the cages. Both the wolves simultaneously said the word “mate” and he was dumbfounded for the first time in his life. Hannah’s wolf, Nora, had recovered quickly and she stood to her feet.“I need to find her. I can feel her pulling for me. I know where she is.” “You go, Nora,” Erik said to her in return. “We will find a way out and reach out to you.”She nodded her head before turning away and sprinting through the darkness. Once Sebastian had unleashed the wolves, he dropped the scepter to the ground. The power was overwhelming, and he feared it would take full control of him if held onto it. He wasn’t expecting the ground to absorb it.“Where’d it go?!” He shouted to his wolf. He searched both cages before coming up with the conclusion that it was gone.“That asshole must have enchanted the cage to sense the scepter and take it,” Erik said. That meant that Xander had possession of the scepter.…HannahI stared a
HannahSister? “You finally found your mate?” Liz asked, looking up at him. “About time, Sebby.”“You know I hate when you call me that.”“Give me a break,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I haven’t seen you in over a decade. I can call you whatever I want.”She hugged him again as more tears sprang from her eyes.“I’m sorry to interrupt,” I said, looking between the two of them in disbelief. “But sister?”“Yes,” he answered. “Liz is my little sister. She’s a half sorcerer and half werewolf.”“The sorcerer is from our mother’s side,” Liz explained.“I see…” I said, still trying to process what I was hearing.“Liz is the reason I came here the first time…” Sebastian explained. “Her spirit was taken here, and I came here to get her back. I was young and stupid though. I ended up getting trapped.”“But you escaped,” I said, narrowing my eyes at him. “You were able to get out.”“With the help of Gemma,” Sebastian answered. “It was underworld years later that we were finally able to escape.
HannahSebastian led me through the back room until we reached a door; behind the door was a long staircase that led into a dark abyss. If Sebastian wasn’t with me, I would have been frightened, but he didn’t seem phased. He took my hand and lead me down the stairs; we were engulfed by the darkness. He turned on a light and my eyes had to work overtime to adjust to the new lighting. It looked like a small apartment; it was quaint and perfect for one person. There was a bed on the far side of the room on a platform. It looked like a bed fit for a princess with light pink curtains that draped around it for privacy purposes. There was a large couch with a coffee table sitting in front of it along with a TV hung up on the wall. The wall was decorated with colorful abstract paintings. Telling the easel on the far side of the room, it was safe to assume that Liz painted these herself. There was also a small kitchen with a small dining table with a couple of chairs set up.The sink was fille
Hannah“No…” I said, pulling my hands away from her. “I won’t accept that.”“Liam’s body is still safe in the hospital. He’s being cared for by the best doctors. He still has a chance to return to it,” Sebastian explained. She still looked uncertain though.“Time here is different,” she said. “You can be here a few days in the underworld, but years will go by on your land. There are no rules when it comes to stuff like that. It’s whatever Xander wants. You don’t know what you’re returning to.”Sebastian was quiet because he knew firsthand that she was right. I still couldn’t accept that though; I wasn’t going to give up on my brother.“But that doesn’t mean you can’t save him,” she finally said, meeting my eyes. She gave me a small smile. “Trust me, he will know if his body is no good. He’ll be able to feel it decaying. So, until he tells you himself that he can’t return to his body, then there’s always hope.”I felt relieved hearing her words, but that meant we needed to move quickly
