My Concubine

"Maxim, throw him in the cold cell for two months" Eros commanded coldly, ignoring the pleas of the man who tried to take advantage of Iris.

When Iris saw this, she became a little surprised. She was not expecting this from the king. When Diandra warned her about this man, she thought the worst about him. 

"If you know they should not take advantage of a woman, then why the hell was I thrown into a prison for defending myself" Iris muttered to herself. Eros heard her, but he ignored her for the time being. He will come back to her after he is done with his guard.

The guard who molested Iris is shuffling on his feet with fear. He knows that they should not behave badly with female prisoners. But he thought that human is going to get punished today, and he thought of having a little fun. Her body is tempting him to touch it. But he did not expect her to slap him. He thought she would keep quiet like others whom he molested before this human woman.

"I. Your highness.." he shuttered under the harsh gaze of his king.

When Eros saw the fear in his guard's face, he understood that what that human said is true. 

"You are appointed as a guard not only to safeguard the others but also to follow rules. If you behave like the prisoners you guard, then what is the difference between you and them? You are dismissed from your duties from this day forth. I deem you as unfit to be a guard. Get out" Eros snapped coldly.

The guard became pale when he heard his king's command.

"Your highness, please forgive me. I will not repeat this" the guard begged, but Eros turned his attention away from him towards Iris, who is now quietly looking at the scene unfolding in front of her. Once the other guards understood that their king's command is final, they swiftly dragged the dismissed guard out of the royal court.

"You were thrown into the prison because it is a rule that women should not raise their voice nor their hands against men. But you kicked him instead and earned yourself a prison sentence" Eros explained to her earlier question.

Iris blinked her eyes when she heard this.

"What? Even if a man tries to hurt a woman, even if a woman is the victim, she should not defend herself?" She asked with shock. 

She heard these kinds of things used to happen in the olden days. But she never thought she would witness and even become a victim of those stupid rules. She came from a place where women demand equality with men.

Eros shook his head.

"Men buy women from their families. Men have the right to do what they want with his woman. As he protects her and provides her with food, clothing and anything she wishes for, so the least she could do is to respect her man. The only reason I punished those two is because they were taking advantage of you. That brings us to your master. Now tell me human, where is your master? Are you running away from your master? Or are you lost?" Eros inquired.

He is still standing in front of her which is unlike him. 

Iris is now getting irritated.

"That's what I have been telling you. I don't have a master. I came from a different world. I was cleaning my grandfather's painting and I accidentally slipped and fell. When I woke up, I am here. You are the king of this place, you must know how to send me back" she asked him hopefully.

Eros looked at her sceptically. He never heard such a scenario happening before. And moreover, he doesn't like humans. His opinion on them changed the moment his father was killed by a human. So he didn't believe Iris. He thought she is lying.

'So she came here with a purpose. Is she just like the woman who killed my father? It's impossible to come out of the compound without a master buying them. So where is her master? Did she kill him? Looking at how she is skilled in handling men twice her size, it's not surprising if she really killed her master. It's not hard to use her good looks to her advantage' he thought.

"If you refuse to tell me the truth, then it will not be good for you" he warned her. He wouldn't talk to a suspect for this long. He would throw the suspect in the inquiry cell and let the guards force the truth from the suspect. But in her case, he doesn't want anyone else to touch her. 

His ministers and the others began to whisper among themselves, which he can hear clearly. 

Iris groaned with frustration.

"I am telling you the truth. I came from the human world. In my world, only humans will be there. Dogs....i mean, wolves are a myth there" she tried to make him trust her. 

Eros gave her a narrowed gaze when she slipped up and called them dogs. 

"Alright then, if you refuse to tell me the truth, then I am your master from today. Take her to my harem" he announced and turned away from her and walked back to his throne.

A couple of maids came to take Iris away from there. 

When Iris understood what he said, she became angry.

"What? Harem? You dog, I don't want to become a number on your bedpost. Let me go. You are no better than those two men. Let me go" she tried to pull herself free from the two WERE women.

When Eros heard her calling him a dog he became angry.

"Enough, I had enough. Get her ready to serve me for tonight. Let's see how she would feel after serving a dog" he snapped angrily.
