CULLEN

Chaos had a sound.

I realized that as I stood in the middle of the Western pack courtyard, watching fire lick up the side of a watchtower while screams tore through the air.

Chaos was steel clashing against steel, the crack of bones, the guttural roars of wolves who had lost all discipline. It was orders being shouted and ignored. It was blood soaking into dirt that had once been sacred ground.

And at the center of it all was Logan.

He moved like a force of nature that had decided to take a shape. Every strike was lethal. Every step forward erased another enemy. His wolf bled through his human form in his eyes, in the way his lips curled when someone dared to raise a weapon against him.

The pack Alpha was no where to be found. Not even his beta or his gamma. It was like they were somewhere watching everything happening with a sickening smile on their faces.

I could almost imagine it.

“Logan!” I shouted, dodging past two of our warriors as they engaged a Western pack guard. “

SERAPHINAI shut the door to my chamber with more force than I intended, the sound echoing sharply before being swallowed by thick velvet and stone. My hands trembled as I pressed my back against the door, breath coming out in shallow, uneven pulls. I had made it this far before the tears came, hot and humiliating, spilling down my cheeks despite every ounce of control I tried to summon.I hated crying.Crying meant weakness. Crying meant losing ground. But the sting on my cheek throbbed relentlessly, a physical reminder of something far worse than pain. He had hit me. Logan had raised his hand to me. Not in private where shame could be hidden, but in the hallway, where the walls themselves would remember.I covered my mouth to muffle the sound that tried to escape me, sliding slowly down until I was sitting on the floor, my skirts pooling around me like a mockery of grace. How dare he.How dare he choose her.I stayed like that for a while, letting the storm pass, wiping my face care

REINAI was not trying to listen. That was the lie I told myself as I lay still on the bed, the covers pulled to my chest, my body aching in places I did not want to think about yet. The room was quiet, too quiet, the kind of quiet that came after chaos, when the world held its breath and waited to see what would break next. Then I heard her voice. Her sharp voice that was familiar in all the worst ways possible. “After everything, you dare bring her back here?”My heart skipped painfully.I knew that voice. I had heard it in my nightmares, woven into memories I had tried and failed to bury. Seraphina.I pushed myself up slowly, wincing as weakness rushed through me. The voices were coming from the corridor just outside my door. Logan’s voice followed, lower, controlled, too controlled.I moved without thinking, slipping my feet onto the cold floor, steadying myself against the bedpost. I did not open the door. I did not need to. The words carried clearly.“You married me,” Seraphina

LOGANThe castle gates groaned shut behind us, heavy iron sealing fate with a finality that echoed through the courtyard. The smell of blood followed us in, sharp and metallic, clinging to armor and skin alike. The three brothers were dragged forward in chains, their once proud shoulders were now slumped, their faces were swollen and bruised, and their eyes were dulled by pain and humiliation.Guapo walked with a limp, his jaw clenched so tightly I thought his teeth might shatter. I almost teased him about it — almost. Gustavo kept his gaze lowered, no longer pretending strength or righteousness which suited him better, because listening to him preach about saving Reina made me even madder than Guapo who forced her into hell, or Giovanni who was silent. Because if he cared that much, he should have saved her from hell, right? No, he didn’t. All he did was stand and tell Guapo that he didn’t fancy what they were doing, while doing it. Then Giovanni said nothing at all, his silence

CULLENSaving Logan’s child should have felt like victory.I stood outside the infirmary doors while the pack doctor worked on me, my shirt discarded, my skin burning where claws and blades had torn through it. Salves cooled the worst of it, bandages wrapped tight, but the ache beneath was deeper than wounds. It sat in my chest, heavy and insistent, refusing to be ignored.“Hold still,” the doctor muttered, pressing cloth to my shoulder.I did, staring at the far wall, listening to the faint sounds of the castle settling back into itself after chaos. Somewhere inside those walls, Logan was breathing again. Reina was alive. Their son was safe. And that was when it hit me. Logan had never been pretending. All the feelings he claimed to have for her, what we all saw as obsession, it was real. I closed my eyes briefly, memories aligning themselves with brutal clarity. The way his voice softened when he said her name. The way his rage sharpened whenever anyone spoke ill of her. The way he

REINASeraphina’s presence filled the room before her voice did.The air shifted, sharp and suffocating, like the moment before a storm breaks. I was sitting on the edge of the bed, wrapped in soft linen that felt foreign against my skin, when the doors flew open without warning.“So this is where they hid you.”Her voice was smooth, venomous, laced with contempt. I flinched instinctively, my body reacting before my mind could catch up. Every muscle tightened. My fingers curled into the sheets beneath me.The servants froze where they stood. No one dared speak. No one dared look directly at her.Seraphina stepped forward slowly, her gaze sweeping over me with open disgust. “Look at you,” she sneered. “Playing the victim as always.”I swallowed hard, my heart beginning to race. I had faced monsters before. I had survived dungeons and chains and cruelty. Yet standing in front of her again brought back a different kind of fear. A quieter one. The kind that came from being made small over

LOGANI did not return to the courtyard immediately.I stood at the edge of the corridor outside my chambers long enough to be certain Reina was truly safe. I listened to the quiet hum of guards posted at every entrance. I felt the wards settle into place, old magic responding to my command without hesitation. I sensed Moon rose’s presence curl protectively around her, faint but there.Only then did I turn away. The castle groaned under the weight of what I had unleashed. Fires still burned in distant wings. Stone cracked where my rage had passed through it. The Western pack was no longer a pack. It was a carcass waiting to be claimed. And there were still debts to collect.I followed the pull of violence, the sharp familiar thread of hatred that led me straight to the brothers. I did not rush. There was no need. They were not going anywhere.I found them in what used to be the eastern council hall. The doors had been ripped from their hinges. Pillars lay shattered across the floor. B
