ARIA

“No, I think omegas aren’t allowed to have a community.”

Clara frowned, like I had said something deeply wrong. “That’s not how it works here.”

I wanted to scream. Instead, I inhaled sharply. “So you don’t get punished? The higher ranks don’t interfere?”

“We have our own structure. Our own hierarchy.”

I scoffed. “Omegas have a hierarchy?”

“Yes.”

“Where’s the part where you get beaten for existing?”

Clara winced. “That doesn’t happen.”

I stared at her, waiting for her to admit she was lying. But she didn’t. I felt like I was going insane. “So,” I said, “you’re telling me omegas here have rights?”

Clara hesitated before nodding.

I exhaled slowly. “And… you believe that’s normal?”

She gave me that look again. That pitying, soft-eyed look that made the bruises on my skin itch. “It is normal.”

I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake her. No, it’s not. It was a sick joke. A cruel illusion. If this was normal, then what the hell had my entire life been? A lie?

A nightmare?

ARIA“You used to melt when I touched you, remember?” His lips curled into a smirk. “Just a pretty body with a big mouth.”I swallowed.Kill him, Whitee growled. Tear his throat out. No one touches us like that.I wanted to. Goddess, I wanted to.But I didn’t know my strength yet. I hadn’t shifted. I didn’t know if I could win... or worse, if I’d fail and he’d take everything. Then pretend. Pretend to be the weak little girl he thinks you are. Until he slips.I took a shaky breath, letting my shoulders sag. Then I bent slightly, like he’d drained the strength out of me.His eyes lit up. “Now that’s the Aria I remember.” He lunged for me.I let him believe it.I played along. Then I kicked his shin.Hard.He cursed and stumbled back, confused. “The hell was that?”I didn’t answer. His gaze darkened as he crouched to whisper. “You’re still mine, you know that?” He leaned in, his breath hot and rancid against my cheek. “All this fake resistance? You’ll never be more than a warm place to

ARIAMy limbs stopped shaking. The splitting headache dulled to a hum. I felt… cool. “I’m scared,” I admitted. “I know,” Whitee replied. “But you’re stronger than they ever made you believe.” Outside, the energy was different. I could feel the scent of my people. I knew they were my people… cozy, warm, and harsh all at once. There was no feeling of the bond. That was dead and gone. This was older—like the connection to myself. To the family I’d lost long ago. My wolf. And she had a name. Whitee. “Tell me…” I turned to find an empty space where the lady had been. She had vanished. “Whitee?” “Albena.” I jumped. “You took your time,” her voice teased gently inside my head. Oh… so this was the mind link stuff? I let out a broken laugh, wiping my tears with the back of my hand. “Shut up.” I felt different and complete. “No, I am serious…” “Shut up,” I muttered again, smiling this time. There was this peace around me—one that came with having a wolf. Whatever h

ARIAAnd I’m not going to hold back anymore.” I stumbled over nothing and collapsed to the ground. My tears wouldn’t stop falling. “For years…” The woman seemed to shrink inside herself, her features folding in with guilt. Her skin was ghostly pale now. “This is all my fault. I’m sorry, Aria.” And in that moment, everything inside me shattered. I didn’t move. Couldn’t was the better choice. The pain in my chest was damn real. It felt as if someone was clawing through my ribs with glass-covered hands, digging gently until they found my heart and ripped it out clean. My eyes snapped shut. When would this pain be over? And I was supposed to go through it again, three more times? No. I wouldn’t survive that. I turned to the woman… no, the presence that knelt beside me, trembling. She looked so fragile now as if she were a mirror about to me crushed in my bare hands. When she raised her head, her eyes were bloodshot and careful. Dare I say she had been waiting for centuries to sa

ARIAHow fucking disappointing. "...I’m like a damn weight to you, and you picked your legacy." I tilted my head, thinking it through. "Which... isn't entirely wrong."Keep telling yourself that, Aria. "Don’t worry, I’ve thought about it long enough, and I still want to spare you the agony," I said, stepping forward until we were just a breath apart. "Even now, after everything... some pathetic part of me still wants to make it easier for you. Still wants to be the one who says goodbye so you don’t have to feel guilty."Rowan’s mouth twitched. Then he let out a bitter sigh and shook his head. “No,” he said, quietly at first. “No. You don’t get to carry this one for me.”I narrowed my eyes. What was he saying? Before I could piece it together, he looked me dead in the eye. His posture straightened, and for a moment, he looked like a man walking toward his own execution.“I, Rowan Frostbite of the Frostbite Pack...” His voice was clear, strong—too calm for what he was about to say

ARIAAnd I don’t know what hurt more—his words or this...this complete stillness, like he couldn’t even bother to answer me. I looked at his back, so tall, so proud, so utterly alone, and I felt something strange twist in my chest. He wasn’t built for loneliness, and yet he wore it like it was all he knew.Maybe that’s why I’d followed him. Not to ask questions. Not to fight. Just to give him my presence. Even if he hated it. Even if he’d rather tear it to pieces than let it stay. I mean, if he was going to live the rest of his life in that empty castle of his own making—then maybe, just maybe, I could share a piece of it. So he wouldn't rot in it alone.I'd reject him.My chest felt sore…like someone had scraped the insides raw and then left it open to rot in the air. He still hadn’t moved. And I realized then…Rowan was never going to say it—the ones that would make the ache in my heart disappear. So I said it for him.“You’re selfish, Rowan,” I said quietly, lifting my chin. “You sa

ARIAThe moment I saw Darius standing behind Lucian, my legs buckled. I had to be hallucinating… this wasn't real. Why was he here again? How did he get in…?My heart pounded painfully against my ribs. Oh, wait. Lucian had said something about him this morning. I just hadn’t been paying attention. I was too caught up in our issues to see the danger of having Darius a meter close to me. I faintly felt Lucian’s arm slip around my waist. If not for his calming scent, I would've dashed in the opposite direction.“Aria…” Lucian started, a little too collected. But I wasn’t listening. I was right. He had purposely let that devil in here! I twisted hard, slipping out of his hold like I’d been burned.Unfortunately, my movement caught Darius’s attention. His eyes slid down to me. Then he lazily lifted his lips, swiping his tongue over his lower lip—an awful habit he had when he was amused. Or when he wanted to unsettle me.I stumbled back, bumping into someone’s shoulder in my rush. Fuck, fuc

LUCIAN My eyes narrowed. “Tread carefully.”“The goddess has given a sinner… a mate,” the woman said softly.I was on my feet before I realized it.“I’m not a sinner,” I growled. “Don’t call me that.”They laughed again. It didn’t sound like joy. It sounded like mourning. “We know everything,” the man on the left rasped. “You killed for silence. You buried your truth.”“You burned what was sacred,” said the one on the right.“You built a pack on ashes,” said the woman in the middle.“Leave me alone!” I growled, pointing at them.“You came here yourself,” the woman whispered.“You always come back, no matter how much you want to forget.”“You open the door.”“You walk the passage.”“You sit in the chair.”“And then you came here yourself.” They all grinned now, sharp teeth peeking from behind aged lips. “No one dragged you, Lucian. You came.”I stared at them, my fists clenched at my sides, breathing heavily. “Why do you torment me?” I whispered.“Because we are your truth,” the woma

LUCIAN“Say that again,” I whispered. “Say it louder, Darius. See how fast I rip your head and gift the rogues myself.”Darius bared his teeth. “I don't want to expose you, Lucian, but you are pushing me.” he paused. “In fact… you already did that all on your own. The rogues know. The other Alphas know. Look at how the Phantom’s little pet project is thriving. Look how far he's fallen.” He laughed, a low and bitter sound. “Aria’s the only one who doesn’t know what you did. Oh, wait. Her people too. What if…”My blood ran cold. I shoved him hard against the wall, hard enough to rattle the light fixture above his head. “I warned you,” I snarled, lowly. “If you breathe another word about that night, I’ll silence you myself.”But Darius just looked amused. “You can try. But we both know your hands are full. One rogue girl, three dangerous Alphas in your court, a duel you orchestrated to humiliate your rival... and let’s not forget the angry pack that’s about five seconds from turning on y

  • Alpha Lucian Obsession   CHAPTER 93

LUCIAN Well, whatever he was thinking wasn’t my concern. I was going to use him to punish Killian. The outcome of the fight was already decided. Killian might land a few brutal hits on Rowan, driven by his usual impulsiveness, but Rowan was a royal wolf—trained in the precise tactics of single combat. One well-placed blow would knock Killian off his game, and that would be the end of it. Lesson learned.“But that’s not all,” I said, raising my voice. “There’s another matter—one that concerns our guests… and the rogue in our territory.”Not just one. There were a hundred rogues camped just outside my pack house. I felt Aria shift slightly at my side. I tightened my grip around her waist. No one was going to touch her again. Not while I was still breathing. She must have noticed Darius—he’d been throwing her lewd smiles from time to time. Did the bastard have no shame? My people weren’t happy about the Alphas coming in and out with their personal guards, and I didn’t blame them. But co
