The mayor picked up the phone with trembling hands.

“Hello!”

“Hello, it is me!” Lucien's voice was heard through the phone and the mayor thought for a moment that he misheard.

He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Camilla, but why was the voice speaking Lucien's?

Could it be that…

“You are alive?” the mayor questioned in a shaking voice.

“Should I be dead?” Lucien asked, not understanding why the mayor was agitated but something clicked in his mind.

Since the rescue team went back without their bodies, then they were literally dead.

“I did not want to make a statement at first because I did not believe that you were dead. But people were just too impatient and they could not wait to announce it to the whole world. They are literally forcing me to give up the office!” the mayor said angrily over the phone.
