Alpha Lance the mysterious alpha. Ivy would be proud of me knowing I remembered all her gossip I joked in my head. His demeanor made me realize why he was referred to as the mysterious alpha. “My muscles are sore” Ivy groaned out as she rolled her arm, holding her shoulder. “I just want to have a cold shower” my voice was weak. We were both tired after the strenuous time we had. The messages had gotten worse, they came at random times, each one more threatening than the last. At first, I deleted them, then I just stopped looking at them altogether. Ivy had to drag my ass to school. After what happened with Lucy, the school has been quiet, at least, I was not blamed after the live video, but Lucy’s death was still a mystery to everyone, no one knows why she did it. We stepped out of the dorm, as we headed to class. Just as we were about to enter the hallways, a shadow flickered above us, and something fell down really fast with a thud. Ivy and I instinctively jumped back, and on the floor, right in front of us was a dead bird, its neck was twisted at an impossible angle, making it obvious that somebody had killed it and intentionally thrown it down. “What the hell” I cursed out loud “That's creepy” Ivy whispered beside me. I dropped to my knees trembling, as I stared at the sight before me. Lucy was dead. Her body lay motionless on the ground, as people’s muffled voices filled the air. Ivy was suddenly beside me, grabbing my shoulders, and she shook me slightly. “Lyra, hey, look at me.” I looked up at her. Deep down I just had this guilt eating me up, was I the cause of her death? “It’s not your fault,” Ivy tried to reassure me, as though she had read my thoughts. There were sounds of sirens echoing in the air, indicating that the academy’s medical team and security had arrived. The ambulance had arrived within minutes. Professors and guards pushed through the students, as they got to the scene.
