I stared at him wide eyed, wondering if he had hit his head or something, hearing Zurien being nice and complimenting me was never on my bingo card. Hell, this was the first time he did not mock me for being weak.

Noticing my reaction, and seeing how disoriented I looked, Zurien smirked “You are showing potential, I will give you that” his tone was calm, something glinted in his eyes which was hard to read, and he added “But you are still going to fight the wolf.
