"You sounded like you know my mother," I said to Elena with a suspicious tone of voice as I stared at her shocked expression. I could see her gulping and the shock in her face was slowly replaced with fear as she keep on staring intently at the picture that I keep beside my mother's gravestone.

"There's no way I am channeling the magic of your mother, she is one of the strongest witches back then. She's one of the originals." Elena responded to me in a trembling tone of voice. I couldn’t help but frown when I heard what she just said. I have no idea what she's talking about, she sounded like she is horrified at the thought of channeling my mother's magic.

"The originals? What do you mean by that? How can you say that my mother is an original?" I asked Elena with furrowed brows, I heard her take a deep sigh.

"This is insane, I think it's better if you just bring me back to the cellar, Michael," Elena said instead of answering my question. M
