Alpha Nemesis

"What could be happening?" Sophie moaned. She was just getting ready to sleep but she couldn't, as noises and groans kept coming from all sides.

It was definitely some of her father's unruly soldiers. They were very good at carrying out his orders and better at causing disturbances

She sprang from her bed and headed to the hallway of their big house. She wanted to speak sense in to those unreasonable soldiers.

She heard snapping of necks before she could get to the door of her room. 

"What?!" she exclaimed. "Those idiots are killing each other?" she wondered what had gotten over them.

She got into the hallway and found some bodies, freshly murdered. 

She had to alert her father that his soldiers had gone mad. She tiptoed to the throne room. There was no one there. She could still hear groaning and fighting noises coming from all sides.

It had now become obvious to her. There was a war going on in their house. How it started and whoever started it was a mystery to her. 

She turned to ran back to her room on hearing some approaching footsteps. She collided with a man and fell back.

She quickly moved to get on her feet. The man hit her hard on the nose. That was hurting but not more than what she could take.

"Sophie" she could hear Prina, the wolf inside her, groaning. She was ready to fight.

She grabbed his hand and hit him in the knee. That was easy, she was personally trained by one of the strongest Alpha, her father.

Another man came towards them. She bundled the man and threw him at the one coming into them. She wanted to run.

Another man hit her head from behind. It was a staggering blow. She could feel Prina shrinking within her. She grabbed her head and slowly went on her kneels.

"Who is this strong little wolf?" the man that hit her, asked.

"She is our Alpha's daughter, Sophie" a familiar voice echoed in Sophie's ears.

She was damn sure that was someone very close to her family. She lifted her head up slowly to catch a glimpse of the face.

"Matt" she wanted to scream but her voice came out low pitched. 

Matt was her father's beta. She wondered why he had done something like this. He was always in agreement with her father.

"The daughter of the Alpha?" the man asked in confusion. He charged at Sophie but hesitated as some heavy footsteps came from behind him.

"Alpha Nemesis" the words curled out of Sophie's mouth before she could stop herself.

"It's not Alpha Nemesis, it's Alpha Jones" Alpha Jones walked towards her and the man standing before her.

Alpha Jones, famously known as Alpha Nemesis needed no introduction. His heavily built moderate body and a glaring physical strength screaming from his appearance were enough to sell him out.

He was said to be a young Alpha but wise, his looks proved this true.

They called him Nemesis because that was what he used to tell his victim. 'Nemesis has caught up with you' was the usual phrase people claimed he used to say.

"David" he patted the man in front of Sophie.

"Alpha Jones" he said softly.

"Who is this?" he pointed to Sophie.

"Matt says she is their Alpha's daughter" David stood upright as a sign of respect.

"Then what is she doing alive. Her parents had escaped and I am thinking we have failed woefully. Kill her" Alpha Jones said mercilessly.

David drew a silver sword from his wrist.

"Stop" Matt rushed between David and Sophie. "Don't kill her" he breathed heavily.

Sophie gasped. She also didn't want to die but she believed she had no hope.

"You heard the Alpha" David pushed Matt aside.

"Why shouldn't he kill her?" Alpha Jones questioned Matt.

"She is not in support of her father, she always complain about his raids. I have witnessed it a lot of times" Matt said breathlessly.

"But she did nothing" Alpha Jones chuckled. "You know that not all of those soldiers were in support of her father but we killed them all, don't you?" he asked.

"Yes" Matt replied reluctantly.

"Kill her, a child of a tyrant will grow to be a tyrant as far as I know" he repeated to David.

"If you still want to get her father, you will need to keep her alive" Matt insisted.

"You are not getting it, Matt. You are only alive just because you did something not just because you are against him" Alpha Jones explained.

"What if she is planning to do something?" Matt continued.

"Anyway, I want her father but I want her dead too" Alpha Jones thought aloud.

"If you keep her around, you will get her father easily" Matt assured him. "She is very dear to him" he nodded.

"Only one man can tell me to spare her" Alpha Jones murmured.

"Let her live, at least to get her father" David chuckled and sheathed his sword.

"I agree, but on one condition" Alpha Jones raised a finger.

"Of course" David said and they both chuckled.

Sophie felt relieved. The news that she would live was enough to make her happy right now. She could even feel Prina's joy within her.

Prina was obviously very happy, but her happiness seemed to be more than just being alive. 

"Hmmm!" Sophie groaned to keep her in check. She was feeling her energy.

Prina didn't stop.

"Argh!" Sophie groaned harder again but Prina didn't stop.

"Stop groaning and let's go" David held the back of her head and pushed her forward. 

She stopped right in front of Alpha Jones. She felt her feet glued to the ground beneath them. She just want to take a satisfying peek of him. It was instinctive

A scent hit her nose. She was aroused at the same time. She felt like leaning over him. She became weak and dizzy instantly.

"No, it can't be" she muttered. She realized Prina had just found her mate, their mate. Alpha Jones.

"Keep moving!" Alpha Jones roared.

"Don't you feel anything?" she asked silently.

A hard push from his heavy hand was what she received as response from him.
