“So there are no werewolves in your country?” the governor asked in curiosity.
“I wouldn’t know that. There might be; they are probably in hiding just as the ones in this part of the world were only just discovered recently.” Stacy replied.
The governor gazed at her deeply and Stacy could not focus her attention on anything else but the governor’s eyes. She was almost shaking for fear. She prayed that whatever plan the governor and Kara had against her would be revealed quickly so she can focus on the consequence part of it. The suspense was slowly killing her and she could lose control at any moment.
“What brought you to our home, initially?” the governor asked again. “I recall you mentioned that your friend had moved to another country to seek asylum. So why didn’t you return home? What kept you back here and led you to our home?”
Stacy did not like the question but she had to answer it.
