Chapter 19- Showdown Between Mates

Lucern’s POV

Where the hell did Levi and Kenji run off to? We need to be finding a way to get Jamari out of the Fae Realm before one of the creatures there tears her apart.

My steps falter as I get nearer to the entrance to my Castle. Two bloody men come sauntering up the courtyard scaring the servants in and out of the Castle. Dozens of terrified vampires quickly run in the opposite directions of the two men coming closer to where I stand in shock.

Is that Kenji and Levi? What in the bloody hell happened to those two? Were they attacked while walking around the Castle or the surrounding forest? My eyes roam over the distance in search of what threat Jamari’s mates might have come across.

“Move.” Levi orders when he reaches where I stand just inside the open doorway. My brow raises in question at his brusque tone.

“What has got into you?” I ask, not moving from my spot. My arms wrap around my chest as I study both Kenji and Levi in turn.
