Chapter 134- Not So Foolish Queen

Lucern’s POV

Silence moves around the room as everyone thinks over Jamari’s question. Removal from the council has never happened before, not in a situation like this at least. There have been times in history where members were not rechosen for the role of council member, but no one has ever been removed mid-term like Jamari is suggesting.

Council members, as well as other subjects, have been sentenced to death for less than what Howard has been accused of. Most rulers do not take too kindly to their subjects speaking ill of themselves or their mates.

“You do not wish for Howard’s head, my lady?” Sabina asks, an intrigued look on her face. She leans forward in her seat and places her chin on the back of her joined hands. Her brow lifts in interest as she stares over at Jamari and waits for her response.
