~Zach’s Point of View~
“There’s just got to be some options. Is there any chance of using the leverage of Jake’s new mate to get the White Falls pack to help us,” I said to Ryan.
“Little ironic that they named their pack after some falls and a hot spring that was actually on Blood Claw’s lands,” Jake snorted.
Jake and a couple of my warriors had come to my pack from Blood Claw but they were young when it fell, and didn’t have much to do with everything that went down. Jake had only just gotten his wolf a few months ago but he was damn impressive and I’d promoted him straight away.
“What happened to the rest of their packlands,” I asked.
~Tyra’s Point of View~Zach shows up, takes my sister and now Ridge’s father. What the hell is going on!? He’s a damn tick that just has to keep sucking the life out of me!RING RING RING.Oh shit, I thought, looking at the caller ID. It was Vanessa’s mom, well my mom really. If I ignored it, she’d worry. I highly doubted Vanessa was going to tell her what was going on, not that she was answering her phone.“Hey mom,” I said, nervously.“Hey sweetie! How are you girls doing? Catching up on your gossip,” she asked.“Well uhm … we didn’t exactly get a chance. Is dad with you? I shou
Everyone agreed to use Alpha Heath’s lands as a staging point since he was the closest to Long Tooth. We needed to be organized but we also wanted to strike quickly. Everyday that passed was another day for Zander to potentially gather more rogues. “We need a couple more points to set up, we’re going to have to get maybe two more on the other side of his lands,” I said, looking over maps. “It’s going to get harder to have a large presence here without drawing attention, especially with his rogues trying to jump over the line all the time,” Pike said. “Yeah, I know we don’t want to rush this but I don’t think we have a choice. We need to strike ASAP, and by that I mean like tomorrow night,” I said. “I’m leaving now to go meet with Zach’s Beta and see what their
~Ridge’s Point of View~Tyra had been gone a few hours and I wasn’t sure if I should mind-link her or give her space. She doesn’t talk about her dad, her childhood. I know little bits but she was always kept away from the pack for the most part. I knew the broader story but not the emotional angle of it from her perspective. So I had no clue if this was difficult for her or what. But she’s so stubborn and hardheaded about showing emotion she probably wouldn’t tell me anyhow.“I just saw Pike back at the packhouse, he was speaking with our Luna and organizing dinner,” Louis, one of my warriors said.“Good, he was only gone a couple of hours and most of that would have been his travel. Must have been a short meeting, link everyone to meet here at 8 for a br
~Ridge’s Point of View~Maybe I should have noticed, but I didn’t. The Alpha for Pale Moon, Tyra’s previous pack, had been gone all day. Now that I was seeing him again, I was curious. I gauged who he was speaking with, Alpha Fox from Hollow Hill. He had been gone all day too.“Alphas, anything new to report,” I asked, barging in on their conversation.“Yeah. We were out just getting a few things for a contingency plan, should be coming up any minute,” Fox said.I raised my eyebrow and looked at Nate who had just gotten to my side.*I only just found out, they got weapons,* Nate said, over mind-link.Fox and the others had tu
We made our way to our scouting location without another incident. We were checking out a watch tower. Someone passed me binoculars and I quickly began looking around. It didn’t seem like anyone was there. I estimated the tower to only be about a quarter mile over the property line.“Doesn’t seem like anyone is there,” Jake said, sneaking up on me.“You’re not supposed to be so close,” I said, annoyed.“Dude nobody knows this area better than me, I spent a lot of fucking nights in that tower,” he said, defiant.“Link some of your guys, see what they’re saying,” I said. He nodded.“Greg’s location is empty too, about four miles west of he
~Tyra’s Point of View~“He’s just so incredible! I mean yeah, he kind of looks like a caveman, and ohh let me tell you he was rough with me like one too! But I fucking loved it,” Vanessa said, rubbing her arms.“Do I have to hear this .. all night,” I whined.“Yes! You do damn it! If I can’t gush to you about my mate, then I only have mom and that’s just not happening,” she said, plopping on the bed.My parents had gone to Ridge’s pack, to help with things while most of the men were gone. We’d called them about an hour ago and they were wrangling some pups, trying to help get them ready for bed.“But even though he’s huge and sol
There was no time and not nearly enough hands to try and put it out. Our best hope was to evacuate everyone, unless driving everyone out of the house to be exposed was their plan. I quickly noticed there were already a lot of broken windows and my heart sank at how terrified everyone must be. My eyes darted to the trees, and I made at least seven sets of wolf eyes staring back at me. I spun around and moved back out front where I saw more people teleporting in, and more leaving. Zach was now here. “What do you know,” he said, running toward me. “At least seven wolves in the woods to the side of the house that’s on fire,” I said, catching my breath. “I made several out by my house, running toward the training grounds,” my
~Ridge’s Point of View~The fight broke out before it should have, before we had the numbers. However, the longer it went on the more reinforcements we had pouring in. Not to mention that Tyson was quite literally a wild beast, ripping out throats left and right. I was damn well going to invite him to help us train sometime.*Where is Zander,* I asked Pike and Nate.*No clue,* Nate said.*Don’t know,* Pike said.I felt a sudden pain in my chest, Tyra. She was scared, literally terrified. I was feeling her through our bond. Why would she be scared? She’s supposed to be-I was taken out of my thoughts as I felt the roar of a wolf behind me, I jerked m
