Lia:

The summons didn’t come quietly.

It came with bells.

Not the kind that chimed sweetly, but the low, ceremonial toll that rolled through the consort hall and settled in my bones like a warning. Servants moved faster. Guards took their posts. Silk banners were being raised along the walls, crimson and gold, the Alpha’s colors woven with symbols I recognized all too well.

It was the way that I was made. The way my mother was called. And the way fate had sealed itself long before anything truly happened.

Marking symbols.

Mating day.

My breath caught.

Theia appeared at my side, her expression set, unyielding. “The Alpha has called for you,” she said. “You are to present yourself immediately. He is waiting for you in his chamber.”

Around us, the hall shifted. Whispers turned sharp. Eyes gleamed.

“She’s being summoned on mating day,” someone murmured.

“During preparations?”

“Bold,” another whispered. “Most likely the Alpha is in need of something to loosen the stress.”

Oh, this female is a piece of work. Does she really believe that Marcel will mate and mark her? I think that she just dreaming and hoping that it will happen. I want him to mate and mark Lia really bad.
