Chapter 0005

BRUNA’S POV

Just as I was about to be consumed by my thoughts, the driver courteously opened the rear door of the limousine. Without hesitation, I entered the luxurious vehicle, and we embarked on our journey to my new home, the Blood Moon Pack.

As the limousine cruised through the woods, I lowered the window to invite fresh woodland air. The verdant scenery enveloped the surroundings, captivating to most but not to me. My life no longer felt like my own, and as I gazed at the sky gradually darkening, it mirrored the bleakness consuming me, intensifying with each passing moment on the approach to the Blood Moon Pack.

Three hours had passed since the wedding when I was sold to the most ruthless Alpha Silas and labeled the Luna of the Blood Moon Pack. In no time, we made it inside the Blood Moon Pack. This pack starkly contrasted with the Blue Moon Pack, showcasing a distinctively unique atmosphere and character. The prosperity of my new home spoke loudly about how strong and victorious Alpha Silas was until the latest war that made him a disabled and weak Alpha.

Once we reached the Blood Moon Pack’s Territory, I could spot a luxurious villa! Wow, the pack house portrayed elegance. Just as I had predicted, it was night already!

The massive gates of the villa parted, granting us passage into its opulent embrace. The sleek limousine circled a grand central fountain before stopping in front of the villa.

As the driver exited the car and gallantly opened the door for me, I hesitated to step outside, knowing that the infernal prison where I would be confined for eternity had finally arrived. Though the villa was so beautiful, the thought of living in this villa with its fearsome owner, my husband, was scaring me out of my wits.

“Oh, Luna! Please come outside!” The driver said.

I bit my lower lip and mustered some courage to step outside. I looked up at the villa nestling in the center of the Blood Moon Pack in all its glory. The crafty white paint gave off luxurious vibes.

Lifting the flowing white gown, I began ascending the staircase, fully aware that no one could lend me a hand. However, I had grown accustomed to handling things independently, rendering the absence of assistance inconsequential.

I reached the last step, and the gigantic doors of the villa crafted in mahogany were already open in front of me. I stepped inside, and through my white veil, I scanned the villa. Never have I been to such an extravagant and splendid villa.

I saw a cue of servants standing on both sides with their heads hung low. I walked inside, my head spinning from left to right to observe the luxurious decor. Everything inside looked expensive, from the paintings, couch, and chandelier hanging from the ceiling to the carpet underneath my feet!

I walked past the servants, and then one maid on my left stopped me as she said politely, “Greetings, Luna Regina!”

The woman who welcomed me was dressed in a printed dress and seemed in her late forties. Her attire stood out among the servants lined up, unmistakably signaling her position as the chief of the villa’s staff.

“Let me take you to your bedroom!” She said and then walked me further inside the villa.

I kept on observing everything around me. This is where I would live till I die, so examining it was necessary.

She took me to the staircase and said, “Here, Ma’am!”

This time, I wasn’t alone when it came to lifting my wedding gown to walk up the steps of the staircase. The maid collected the frills sweeping the floor, and we went up, with me walking ahead and she walking behind me.

We arrived on the first floor, and after setting the frills of my gown loose, the maid made me walk a long passage with several rooms lined up to my left. Our walking feet stopped in front of the giant doors, and I inhaled a deep breath. This would be the most dangerous place in this beautiful hell; Alpha Silas’ bedroom.

The maid turned to me and said, “Luna, this is Alpha Silas’ bedroom which is now yours too!”

I held the white gown draped over my body tightly, my heart beating rapidly and my face contorted with fear. I was standing in front of the ALPHA SILAS’ bedroom. What got me jittery was the maid not opening the doors but simply leaving me all alone.

I turned to the maid with my hand outstretched in an attempt to stop her. She shouldn’t leave me alone. I attempted to call her out, but she turned a deaf ear to my calls.

Reluctantly, I got my gaze back toward the closed doors. Wait! Why didn’t the maid lead me to the bedroom? Was it because Alpha Silas already arrived? He told me he wouldn’t come with me to his villa because he had some things to work on. What if the work was already done, and he was back?

Settling my hands on the door knobs, I twisted them open and pushed them slowly. My eyes widened when I saw how spacious Alpha Silas’ bedroom was. Two light sources illuminated the bedroom: the calming glow of the Moon Goddess’s beams that penetrated the flannel curtains, accompanied by a chilly breeze, and the soft radiance of scented candles artfully arranged throughout the room.

With cautious steps, I entered the room, finding solace in my being alone in this space. However, the remnants of fear lingered as I beheld the exquisitely adorned bedroom, specially prepared for our first night. My breath stifled in my throat when I saw a king-sized bed wrapped into a white bed sheet and a white quilt with countless rose petals sprawled on it. I spotted the red rose petals on the bed, on several other places like the nightstand and the floor. This clearly pointed out one thing: Alpha Silas was planning to celebrate our first wedding night on that bed! Was he planning to f*ck me tonight?!

Aside from the whistling of the wind, I could only hear my heavy breathing sound. I was gasping for air, desperate to flee from this hell. If only there were a way I could escape!

I glanced at a royal vintage clock hanging on the wall opposite me. It was 9:30 PM already! If I want to live, I shouldn’t do anything that annoys Alpha Silas. So, I decided to sit on the bed and wait for my husband to arrive.

I sat on the decorated bed with my knees pulled closed to my chest and my hands wrapping my legs. In a fancy manner, the frills of the wedding gown were sweeping down from the bed, reaching for the floor. Gazing through the opaque veil that concealed my face, I fixated on the entrance, readying myself and patiently awaiting my husband’s arrival.

My eyes started growing heavy owing to the fatigue. I had been sitting on the bed for almost two hours, but my husband hadn’t arrived. Nobody even cared to ask me if I were hungry, leaving me feeling neglected and unimportant. I looked at the clock through my eyes and lamented, “It’s already 11:30! Why isn’t he here?”

As time steadily slipped away and the night enveloped me in darkness, I thought Alpha Silas might not return home tonight. Perhaps, he would make his arrival tomorrow instead. That thought did make sense to me, and I decided to shower and go off to sleep.

Getting up from the bed, I walked inside the bathroom, surprised at its sight. The bathroom was dressed up with the best of luxe. The dim yellow lights shining in the bathroom created a luxurious ambiance. It highlighted several bathroom features that were yet to be explored. Like the bedroom, the bathroom also had rose petals and candles lit by the wash basin. Gliding past the expansive mirror adorning the left wall, encircled by cabinets, I saw the dry section. I ventured deeper into the bathroom, marveling at its vastness, twice the size of my bedroom in the Blue Moon Pack.

There was a mini spa corner to my right with a brass bathtub, a sleek glass shower cubicle, shining shower handles, and handsets to my left. Opting for the mini spa corner to freshen up, I was awestruck by the sophisticated ambiance that permeated every nook and cranny. It was finally dawning on me that I was becoming accustomed to this opulent lifestyle.

I walked up to the mirror and removed my veil, followed by a diamond necklace around my neck and a diamond bracelet. Finally, I removed my heavy wedding gown and immersed my body in the comforting warmth of the bathtub adorned with delicate rose petals.

Being naked without any weight holding me down was too much relief for me. But what about my heart? The presence of fragrant candles, rose-infused bath bombs, and the comforting warmth of the water bath would only soothe my body and not my heart! My heart was yearning for my grandma. My life worsened after Grandma, and I were forcibly returned to the pack house. But I didn’t expect my life to take such an adverse turn that I would become a substitute bride to Alpha Silas.

Over time, I had gotten used to the ill-treatment of my family. I was ready to bear it for my entire life, wasn’t I? Then why did my fate make me Alpha Silas’ wife?

Henceforth, I must brace myself to endure the worst treatment and exercise extreme caution in every move to prevent Alpha Silas from discovering that I am not Regina but Bruna, an illegitimate daughter.

It had been almost half an hour or more since I was washing up! Once I was done, I stepped out of the bathtub and dried my body with the help of a white towel. After drying my body, I reached out for my pajamas.

Wait! Oh no! I forgot to bring my nightwear. I looked for a bathrobe but couldn’t find any. I was only left with a small white towel to wrap my naked body. I quickly draped the small white towel around my slender body, tucking it at my back.

Wrapping my body in a towel, I exited the bathroom and shut the door behind me. As I turned around, my feet rooted to the spot, and a startled gasp escaped my lips, echoing the shock that engulfed me upon witnessing the sight that greeted my widened eyes.

On the first wedding night, instead of my husband, I saw a handsome man, shirtless, sitting on the decorated bed, eyeing me up and down. His handsome face bore an evil smirk as he said, “Just a bath towel, huh? Are you so eager to spend the wedding night with me?”
