EDEN.
A resounding slap landed on my face, taking me to the floor. I spit a mouth full of blood. It's been hours since I was brought here based on my imagination, and I've been beaten mercilessly without being told of my offence. A palm dragged me to the side and pressed me against the tree. They had tied my eyes, so I couldn't see…..and my limbs, so I wouldn't move on my own. I spitted out again, unknowingly to me, it touched one of them….followed by a heavy hit that made me almost lose my senses at that moment. “This bitch spit this f*cking blood on me….” he yelled, fizzing with energy. I could tell that he would hit me again when a feminine voice made him halt his actions. “Didn't you just see what she did to me?” “I said, enough! You can't kill her!!” came the feminine voice. Who was that? Was she here to save me? I shook my head. No one would come near them without knowing who they are. They must be buddies but are uncomfortable with the way they hit me repeatedly. “Untie the scarf so she would see….” the voice ordered, and immediately, the scarf was taken off my eyes. My sight was blurry. I struggled with seeing things, so I shut my eyes again and slowly opened it again. “Make sure to keep those eyes open and watch me—” the young lady before me ordered. I gulped, still battling with my sight when she came closer and squatted before me. She lifted my jaw with her middle finger and giggled. “She's indeed disgusting…” she laughed again and stood up. “I wonder why he won't take his eyes off a thing like you…” He? Who was that? Was the one sponsoring my college a man? This time, I raised my brows to see the young lady vividly. She looked familiar—like we had met in the past, but I can't surely recall where and when. I sighed heavily and licked my lips. “A disgusting thing like you do not deserve to attend that college. I can't even tell why he will risk seeing you through it.” she bit her lower lip. “Okay, let's forget about the f*cking man training you in college that the Alpha King is searching for….let's talk about the man that you are taking from me.” Man? Do I know her man? I shook my head. “If only I know you, then I can attest to knowing your man…..” My lips hurt, and speaking seemed like a big deal to me. “I have nothing to do with your so-called man—” She hit his leg on my face, sending excruciating pain down my spine. Tears gathered in my eyes and I couldn't hold them back to roll down. I winced in pain, trying to not die here. If I should die, not in this bush. I can't fail the anonymous man who's putting me through college…..the money he spent won't be in vain. “Asshole! You dared deny not knowing who my man is huh?” she shrieked and I nodded. I can't agree with what I know nothing about. “Then I will end you here so you won't bother him again. I can't stand seeing you around him.” “I have no man that I can stay around. I'm all alone….so please let me go." I pleaded. I was supposed to be in school, but here I am, answering a query I didn't know. “Or, if you could tell who your man is, then I would know what to say.” She grinned. “Wow! She finally accepted to know him.” she squatted again. “Tyrion!!!” My eyes narrowed on hearing that name. I didn't know why, but I felt a pang of jealousy aroused in me. Tyrion is her boyfriend and she abducted me. I looked up at her. “I know Tyrion as the Alpha Prince’s Beta, but I have nothing in common with him.” “He was your childhood friend, so quit lying.” I nodded. “Agreed! We were friends but not anymore. We don't even cross each other's path.” I swallowed hard. “I have never spoken to him, so please let me go. I will avoid him if he dares approach me—we have nothing in common.” She chuckled and crossed her arms. Is this why she brought me here? To be beaten to death because of some nonchalant that betrayed me? What would I do with someone that caused me pain in the past and now? He's the reason I'm passing through all these….how will I cope to be with him? “Today was just a warning. The next time I see you beside Tyrion or he even thinks or talks about you—I will see that you leave this earth for my peace of mind. I can't be dragging my lover with some bullshit like you.” she pointed her fingers to my face. I nodded repeatedly. All I need is to be released so I can get back home or to school. “No! I will be made fun of if I go to school. I have to go home and resume tomorrow." I thought while watching them. She signaled the men to untie me and so did they. I was there alone until they all vanished into thin air, leaving me to stay in the dangerous woods. I was so weak, and I hope not to encounter any rogue here. I stood from the floor, wincing in pain. My body hurt and my school uniform was already stained with blood. The little strength I had with me this morning was already taken away from me. I staggered, knowing that I wouldn't last long in the woods. “Kiah!” I mumbled, still moving, so weak. “You can't even look for me…” tears streamed down my cheeks. “I didn't kill our parents. Tyrion caused it, yet you hated me and made friends with our enemy." I sniffled, clouded with thoughts. The memories of that day will never leave me—they keep lingering in my mind. “I'm now in college, and I'm sure our parents are glad that another person has fulfilled their promise to me….so I hope to graduate to make them more happy in the afterlife.” My lips parted in a smile. It was filled with pain, but I deserved to live too. Being demoted to an omega was enough punishment for my parents' death, so I have to be a graduate too. I halted and looked back. I already walked a distance despite my condition. “I will be out of here soon,” I assured myself and resumed walking. At a time, my head began hurting. It was so heavy that it felt like I was bearing a load on it. I struggled to keep my palms on my forehead, so I would feel at ease at least until I left the woods. Once I step onto the major road, I will surely get a helper. “Ouch!!” I growled, slumping to the floor. My feet were stuck to the root of a tree. Gradually, I struggled to free myself so I wouldn't waste my strength just at a place. “My eyes!!” I didn't know when I broke into tears again. I felt so dizzy and my head was hurting so badly. My leg was freed but I couldn't find myself resuming the walk again. I was stuck to the ground, weeping. “Tyrion, you caused this—” I sniffled and wiped my runny nose. It seemed I was going blind. I couldn't help myself any longer. The little strength I had in me was already consumed and there was no hope of returning home again. Dizziness overwhelmed me. My palms reached to the floor as I tried to hold onto something. A figure appeared before me. He was a man. He looked familiar. His scent too was one I inhaled at the resort. “I hate you, Tyrion—” everything went blank.EDEN.The next day at school,“I submitted them when you left…” I said to Cirilla, who was searching for her book. We had done our assignment before I left with Prince Kelvin yesterday, and that was what I submitted.Although I felt nervous staying with Prince Kelvin yesterday, I enjoyed leaving with him. I ate the meals I hadn't ever dreamt of eating and he got me clothes, including the one I would wear to his birthday party.Cirilla had assured me that she stalked us until I was being taken home, and her mother had complained badly because she stayed out for long, unlike the other days.“So, I got some news today about what I promised you yesterday,” Cirilla said to me, and I faced her. “I asked my mum some questions since she is well known in the Pack and knows certain things that are going on.”I licked my lips. “What's your mother's position in the Pack?”“She's the best medical doctor and owns a hospital too.” Cirilla smiled while replying. “She has a lot on her table for now. TYRION.Kisey patted my back and handed the ball to me. We were going to play basketball to clear my mind a bit and it's been a long time since we did that due to school activities. The prince had left for an urgent meeting that was taking place in the palace, and I had to stay back to spend some time with the students boarding in the school. Three other guys were pleading to join us, and Kisey was considering giving them a chance while I was getting dressed up. “Beta!!” Someone tapped me. She was a female and a beta, too. I turned to the side to see her standing beside me. “I have something to tell you….” she added, making a long face. I shifted to the side with her and urged her to go ahead with whatever that brought her.“Uhmm, I wasn't supposed to do this, but it's beyond my power so I believe you could help,” she uttered and I said nothing, just waiting for her to conclude with what she had to say. “The other time, you saved Eden from being bullied. That's why I came to you as
EDEN.Throughout the night, I didn't get a better sleep. Each time I recall the anonymous letter that came to me at school the past day, my heart sank into my belly. I read it so many times at night but have yet to conclude.Who sent this letter? What relationship does the person have with Prince Kelvin? How would he or she prove that the Prince has a bad intention?I know that Tyrion once said something like that about how odd he feels about the Prince, and I decided to be cautious, but he isn't the type to send forth a letter either. The hell he had passed through because of me would teach him a big lesson to mind his business.I was getting ready for school, but still, my mind was clouded. If I could fly to meet Cirilla and hear from her, I would do that. After I was done, I picked up the letter again. “Let's read it this last time before hiding it. We will surely find the person who sent it someday….” I mumbled, referring to my wolf. I opened the paper again and went through it, s
PRINCE KELVIN.Snow Moon Pack.Rosa was seated on my bed the moment I stepped into my bedroom. She was so busy scrolling through her cell phone that she didn't notice my presence. “I guess my dinner is ready…”She raised her face and gasped. “You're back!!” she stood and hurried towards me, ending up in my arms and her head resting on my chest. “I waited for so long. How were today's studies?”“Very fine!” I said and kissed her cheek. “What did you get for me?” I walked to the sofa with her and got seated while she stood before me.She rolled her eyes and chuckled. “Kisses—” she licked her lips. “Uhmm, what about what you told me? Is it still going to take place? I'm f*cking scared that I won't end up being your Luna because of my infertility. I'm also tired of visiting the shrine to pray to the moon goddess, and your father will soon abdicate the throne once you graduate.” Her voice sounded broken, and I wouldn't blame her. As a lady who is unable to conceive, she should be bothered
EDEN.Five days later,The driver parked before the school gate, and I alighted from the car and watched him drive off. I was just resuming school after three days of being in the hospital and two days of arranging my school properties to resume again.I stepped into the school compound, hesitating my steps as I took the route that would take me to my classroom. The students were all in haste and focused on a particular direction. “Is something going on there?” I muttered within myself but did not halt my steps. I only focused on reaching the classroom and dropping my belongings in my locker before anything else. “That energy!!” I recalled again. At the hospital, after I conversed with the nurse and she administered the treatments and left, I fell asleep. When I woke up, my wounds were all healed again, and I felt that Alpha energy swim in me—that energy and feeling that overwhelmed me when Tyrion healed me.I've been contemplating over the matter, trying to convince myself that it w
EDEN.“Throw her out!!!” I heard the Alpha Prince's voice from outside the room I was in. I leaned on the wall, scared to my veins. The room was so dark that I felt I would suffocate soon, and it's been hours already.Being in this room was one tough punishment given to me—it was worse than being beaten because I felt I was in my nightmares. My wolf was f*cking weak and couldn't take over, so I would see a bit with her power, and that was exhausting. The door was unlocked, and a palm grabbed me. “Stand!!!” he ordered, and I did just that no matter how weak I was. I wouldn't want to act weak, and they would declare that I stay back. But why were they bringing me out suddenly? I was expecting to be here for at least two days before I'd be released because the Alpha King will have to resolve the issue with the Alpha of the Snow Moon Pack.Stepping my feet into the corridor, I battled to adjust my eyes to the brightness along the way. The door was shut behind me, and the guard dragged me
TYRION.Since the Alpha Prince took away Eden, I had barely breathed well. My chest was burning. I regretted every action I took at school. The day seemed like a mess because I was less concentrated on the teachings.Kisey sat beside me—his palms supporting his head. “There is nothing you can do at this point. I would advise that you act cool and talk to the Prince. Let's see if he can change his mind.”I wiped my nose and winked. “You think he will listen to me?”“Let's try first!”I shook my head. “That son of the devil won't stand back until he's pleased with what he wants to do. If not for the salary, I wouldn't dare to be beside him like my parents wish. He is more cruel than his father…..”Kisey grinned and patted my back gently. “The King isn't cruel—the Prince isn't too. They just see Eden as a cursed child, and you know what it means to be seen that way.” he adjusted closer to me. “I'm very sure not even Prince Kelvin will stand to see his father lose his collaboration with t
EDEN.Prince Geralt approached me and Tyrion. He had his arms folded against his chest, his face contorted. “What is my right-hand man doing with a demoted Beta?” his voice resounded in my ears. “I'm talking to you, Tyrion…..”“I should take the blame, although Ava caused it all.” Tyrion stood up. By then, I was already healed and felt so light. The pains had subsided so I could do whatever on my own. “If she had confronted me first about what brought her here, I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to help her.”The Prince stepped backwards and signaled the two men beside him. They approached Tyrion and landed a heavy hit on his face, causing him to stagger backwards. I hurried to my feet and rushed towards the prince, falling to my knees. “Pardon him! I'll take the blame….” he quaked me to the floor, and I almost slammed my head on the veranda. When I sat up, he was standing before Tyrion, hooking him by the collar. “You are my Beta, yet you patrol around to save this rotten thing wi
EDEN.As the other students were leaving the class since it was a free period, I decided to do so too. I packed up my books and locked them up on my shelf, then had the key put into my pocket. Although I had nothing to do out there, it would still be better for me to leave to avoid further problems. I could recall staying alone in the classroom when still in high school and ended up being accused of theft. That day, I was saved by a young junior student who attested that I was sleeping throughout her stay in our class or I would end up being expelled. Thanks to the moon goddess, the accuser found what she lost, and I promised to not stay back again when others were leaving. The moment I got seated on the veranda, I felt a palm yank my hair so hard, causing a scream to escape my throat. Was that waiting for me to be out of the class? I stood to meet Ava standing before me. “What was that for? You can at least call my name….”A thunderous slap landed on my cheek. My feet slipped, but
