“I’ll kill them both,” Victor snarls. “I swear it.”
Ariadne shivers. “You can’t. He’ll- promise me you won’t go after him. I-I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
“Tell me who he is,” Victor demands.
Ariadne's eyes swirl with pain. “No, I won’t. I’m asking you as a friend, not to put yourself in danger. You don’t know what I know. Please.”
Victor locks his jaw. “Fine. For now. But you can’t expect me, to do nothing. He hurt you.”
Ariadne's whole body starts shivering. “It doesn’t matter anymore.”
Victor wants to stop Ariadne. She’s still in post-heat, prone to impulse. But the Alpha finds that he can’t.
The Omega rubs her glands against Victor's. Ariadne's scenting him, out of fear, neediness, confusion, Victor doesn’t know.
