Chapter 175

Kane's POV

“Kane!” Glenn shakes my shoulder, trying to bring me back to the real world. “Wake up!”

Oh Goddess, no, I don’t want to. I want to stay here with Willow, safe in our little bubble, but deep down I know it’s a bad idea. I can see her, even touch her, but I can’t feel her soft skin or her comforting warm body in my arms.

“Kane! Wake up, man.”

Saying goodbye to her is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do, but staying in the make-believe world with her won’t benefit either of us. Still, I can’t help being a little annoyed when Glenn shows up and pulls me back. “What is it?” I snap.

“Did you fall asleep?”

Did I? I don’t think so, but I’m not sure. “I don’t know,” I finally say, “but Dario was keeping a lookout. Willow…connected with me.” I frown, trying to figure out exactly what happened. “Suri found Dario, and our wolves did something…I don’t know. She said we were in a dream.”
