Chapter 174

I don’t know how long we’ve been locked in this room. There are no windows, no way to tell the passing of time, and nothing to do. I tried to figure out how long we’ve been here by the schedule at which they drop off our food, but I soon realised that it was a pointless endeavour – they are trying to confuse us by bringing food at different times.

At least the room is big and somewhat comfortable. There are two single beds on opposite sides of the walls, a small table with two chairs, a closet with the most basic clothes, and a bar fridge filled with snacks and drinks. The tiny bathroom has only a tub, toilet, and basin.

My only concern is for Adare, but so far they haven't tried to harm him or take him from me. “How long do you think we’ve been here?” Tully asks out of the blue. She has been quiet and withdrawn, mostly lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
