Flinched

Ryder ambled to the side of the rocky outcrop where she was sitting leaned against the wall and set his pallet right next to it on the ground. A broad piece, the pallet was comfortable for him to sleep and for her too. It’s not that he had found the pallet on the Bloodwulf jungle floor. He had found a thick tree, uprooted it and then took almost three hours to create it. All the while he was crafting it, he only thought of one thing—it should be curved nicely so that she wouldn’t get hurt in case she decided to sleep on it, with him of course… He had waited for her to become conscious. His anxiety was getting the better of him. Others passed indirect remarks at him, so he had gone out to distract himself. 

When Lyle didn’t look at him or the pallet he had crafted for so long for her, his irritation increased. Ryder pursed his lips and then walked to his backpack from where he pulled out a large towel

I mostly feel sorry for Drake and Blake, drake is just trying to avenge his son and keep him alive, for their world not overreacting at all
