I sighed, and slid my thumb down her cheek, until reaching the outline of her lips.

-Maybe you're the only one who can make me fall in this game. -my hand slid over her hair, in a soft caress - But I can't let that happen.

I held her head delicately, resting it on the floor slowly. I got up, and looked around the room. On the other side was Christopher, tied up and thrown on an old mattress. I approached him and pulled his heavy body with certain difficulty off the soft object; I dragged the mattress to Lauren's body. And with less difficulty, I placed the young woman's body on top of the relatively soft mattress; I untied the knot and removed the rope around her body, to then tie up only her wrists.

-I think you're better this way. - I whispered to her, as if she could hear me -I won't let anyone hurt you again, okay
