Alpha's Choice: Destiny's Deception

CHAPTER 1

“Marry Analise,” my father said.

“Father, but she is not my mate,” I said already getting tired of the conversation.

“Yes, she may not be your mate but she is the most suitable fit, you are a very rich, powerful alpha with the most powerful, respected and the biggest pack in the entire country and her pack is the second best. What more could any alpha or pack ask for. Analise is beautiful, intelligent, and the daughter to alpha and luna sword of blood moon pack. This will be the best allegiance and it will make our pack stronger plus think of all the strong pups you would bear with our rare wolf genes and Analise’s strong wolf genes your kids will be unstoppable.” My father said trying to convince me to get married to his best-friend’s daughter.

“What if she already has a mate?”

“I assure you she doesn’t have one yet, if she did, I won’t be telling you to make her your luna,” my father replied chuckling.

“But I can meet my mate later, even you married your mate. I am not rushing to get married.”

“Well, you may not be ready to get married but the prophecies says that a great war is coming soon, it is great to create good allies so when the war comes you won’t be alone and what better way to create it than a marriage.” My father said smiling.

“I don’t need to get married to create allies and we are strong enough to withstand any war,” I replied with a frown.

“This war is not like any other, the witches said there will be so many casualties and some packs won’t remain the same after the war.” My father said

“I know I have heard this story a lot of times. Father this prophecy has been told and retold since you were a pup. Why do you think it will happen now that I am Alpha.” I said to my father.

“I don’t think so son, I know it will happen now because the witch said once the black fur with blue eyes emerges the war is no longer far and people will have to take cover far and near because the war will bring down kings and destroy kingdoms. Son if you know what this means you will now that you are a key catalyst to this war because you are the black fur with blue eyes.”

“Father, what do you mean. This is not part of the prophecy told,” I said barely able to hide my shocked expression

“Not everybody knows this part of the prophecy, we don’t want the people panicking so we made it look like a myth but it is true every alpha and luna in the world know the true legacy because every leader was present the day the prophecy was said. We all agreed to look out for the black fur with blue eyes, and turns out the moon goddess gifted you to me. Since the prophecy was made every pack started training warriors for the war, not knowing when it will come and not wanting to be surprised either. When you were born, we expected a war to break out but nothing has happened for the past 30 years so everyone is relaxed but I am not. That is why I want you to make an ally with one of the strongest packs while you can, so when the war starts we won’t be part of the casualties that will be forgotten.”

“Okay father,” I said in loss of words.

“But is there any way you could be incorrect and I am not the one the prophecy is talking about?” I asked

“Well, the chances of that being possible are next to none but it is not totally impossible because there are other alpha’s with blue eyes, some other with black fur but none of them have both and the ones that have both have some other color mixed with their fur coat. But yours is total back. I don’t think there could be a mistake. Although there was a rumor long before you were born that the witch that gave the prophecy was too cunning and didn’t give the full prophecy, but no one can tell for certain because the prophecy was told over 500 years ago and every alpha has made it his duty to pass it unto the next.”

“Okay father, I understand what you are saying but can we not just make allies the normal way, Analise is your best-friends daughter and I don’t think she has ever felt for me that way, heck I have never felt for her that way, I feel that the prophecy is possibly wrong. So, I’ll make this deal with you on my 32nd birthday if I haven’t found my mate, I’ll get married to whoever you want me to. I told my father knowing fully well that I will find my mate before that time.”

“Okay I agree and if you haven’t found your make by that time then you will marry whoever I choose.”

“Yes father.”

That night I couldn’t sleep. I kept rolling and wondering what will happen if this prophecy is true or I can’t find my mate, will I truly, marry whoever my father picks, what if it was just a lie cooked up by past alphas to promote peace, I have to get to the root of this. It can’t be true. That night I kept on rolling on the bed unable to sleep.

“Where am I?” I asked as I walked through a beautifully adorned garden with flowers I have never seen or heard of. 

“What is this place? Hello, hello anybody here,” I called out until I saw a wolf with a very beautiful silvery white fur with intense black eyes, even in her wolf form I could tell she was my mate because my wolfwent frantic and was shouting MATE! MATE! MATE! I put out my hand to hold her and stroke her beautiful fur, she was so beautiful.

“Please will you turn to your human form?” I asked with a very gentle voice.

The beautiful wolf nodded her head and was about to change back when I suddenly started shaking.
