Chapter 47

NATALIE

Desperate to escape the voice of my sister, I thrash and break free of the nightmare.

The bright light in the unfamiliar room hurts my eyes. I have to blink a few times to adjust my vision.

The first face I see is of Anne. I can see her mouth moving, forming words. But, I can’t hear her.

There is a constant ringing in my ears which increases in volume, the more I try to listen to what she is telling me.

I feel the light ache in my body but the suffocating throbbing in my side and my head is gone.

“ C…Hear… ” Anne’s words become a little clear.

The next face I see if of Giana. She rushes by my side and pushes Anne aside so she can talk instead.

Confused, my gaze switches between them both.

Giana bends down and takes hold of my shoulders before shaking my body. I snap out of the daze. My hearing ability comes back in full force.

“ Are you fucking alright? ” Giana’s screeching voice makes its way up my ears.

I hiss, closing my eyes. “ I can… ” hear you.

The only reason I agree with Natalie to not kill Enzo, would be for me, to held him hostage to pressure his wicked father to give back the land to Ryker and admit who are the spies. But to save him for Emilie is really stupid!! ......
