Gilly's Gift

last update Last Updated: 2025-11-12 23:23:37

When Gilly finally opened the small chest, her hands trembled slightly. The sight before her made her breath catch. Inside the box lay a beautiful necklace with a heart-shaped pendant that glowed softly under the light of her lamp. The stone was deep blue, smooth, and sparkled like the night sky. It looked like sapphire, and she could not help but wonder how Jack could afford something so fine.

She touched the pendant gently, feeling its coolness against her skin. It was delicate and carefully crafted. The design was simple but elegant, the kind that spoke of real effort. Her heart warmed as she imagined him picking it out. But then, she noticed a small folded note placed beside the necklace.

Gilly carefully lifted it and opened it. The handwriting was strong and neat, clearly written by a man’s hand.

“This is the most expensive thing I’ve ever gifted a woman. I hope you love it.”

She smiled as she read those words. But when she turned the note over, her smile grew wider. On the other

Elara sat cross-legged on her bed, a fresh scroll in front of her and a quill resting between her fingers. The afternoon light came in through the window, soft and warm, but it did nothing to help her calm her nerves. Gilly and Neri sat close by, watching her with quiet interest.“I have been thinking,” Elara said, still staring at the blank scroll, “I want to write to Alpha Lucas. I want him to know I miss him.” She lowered her voice. “But I do not want to sound needy.”Gilly raised her brows. “You can write to him without sounding needy. You just need the right words.”Neri agreed. “Yes. Something gentle. Something that shows you care.”Elara let out a slow breath. “I do care. That is the problem. I care too much, and I do not want him to feel like I am bothering him.”Gilly patted her arm. “You are not bothering him. You are not even writing anything yet. Just start small.”Elara finally rested the tip of the quill on the scroll. “What do I write first?”“Start with his name,” Gill

  • Alpha's Cursed Breeder     A Needy Mistress

Late in the evening, Lucas decided it was time to write back to the Crystal pack. A single lamp lit the wooden surface. He pulled a blank sheet closer and dipped his pen in ink. He began to write slowly, choosing his words with care.He wrote to Alpha Kendrick of the Crystal Pack.He stated plainly that he had sent his men to the Sauna Pack to check on them. He said he thought the pack might need help. He explained that he had not known they once belonged under the Crystal Pack. He added that he was holding back on his plan to establish new trade routes until the Sauna Pack was stable again. He paused, reading what he had written. He nodded to himself. The message was truthful and it was simpleJust as he lifted his pen again, his chamber door opened without a knock.Rosa stepped inside. She wore a soft smile, but her eyes were restless. “Lucas,” she said, closing the door behind her, “you have not been seeing me.”Lucas did not move from the table. “Rosa,” he said in a calm voice, “

  • Alpha's Cursed Breeder    Kendrick's Message

For some reason, Lucas found that he was anxious about what the message in the scroll held. He had never really had direct dealings with the Crystal pack when it came to very official matters or anything of the sort. Before now, he didn't have anything with the pack. His father hadn't had any direct affiliations with alpha Simon either. They were just a powerful pack that he grew up knowing and reading about in the history books. Lucas reached for the scroll and unrolled it slowly. His eyes moved over the handwriting, steady and controlled. It was from Alpha Kendrick. The message began with a formal greeting. After that, Kendrick wrote plainly:“It has come to my notice that the Sauna Pack might be under pressure. A distant pack seems to be taking advantage of their weakness.”Lucas paused for a moment, then continued reading.“In the past, the Sauna Pack was under the Crystal Pack. Because of this, if the Sauna Pack is in danger, I may have to step in. I will act if I am needed.”

  • Alpha's Cursed Breeder    Soft Return

Lucas and his men entered the Howlers Pack quietly. The air around the pack was calm, and the guards on duty greeted them with steady eyes. Lucas walked straight toward the main house, his boots carrying the weight of the journey he had just completed. His men followed behind him without speaking. They all knew that Lucas would explain things when he was ready. The beta was already waiting for him at the entrance. He stepped forward at once.“Alpha, welcome back,” he said. His voice held relief, but it also held questions.Lucas nodded. “Thank you. How has the pack been?”“We have been fine,” the beta answered. “All duties have been handled.”Lucas looked him over. “Good. You did well.”The beta bowed his head a little, then lifted it again. “There is also a message for you,” he said. “It came from the Crystal Pack.”Lucas stopped for a moment, his eyes steady on the beta. “From the Crystal Pack?”“Yes,” the beta said.Lucas waited, but the beta said nothing more. Lucas did not ask fo

  • Alpha's Cursed Breeder    The Turn of The Wind

Lucas woke early and stood at the edge of the woods. The morning air was cold and still. His eyes stayed on the distant gates of the Sauna Pack. He waited for the sound of hooves, and soon he heard it. The two men he had sent out the day before rode back into the trees, and behind them came twenty trained warriors from the Howlers Pack. The group stopped before Lucas. The leader of the new arrivals stepped forward.“Alpha, we came as fast as we could,” he said. “We are ready.”Lucas looked at them quietly. They were strong, steady men. They were prepared for anything. But Lucas did not speak right away. Instead, he asked, “Did you face any trouble on the way?”“No, Alpha,” the leader said. “The roads were clear.”Lucas nodded. “Good.”The first two men who had gone to fetch them dismounted and came closer.“Alpha,” one of them said, “your beta is doing well. He is handling the pack without any trouble. We told him you might return late, and he said he would keep everything steady.”Lu

  • Alpha's Cursed Breeder    Closed Gates

Lucas reached the Sauna pack gates in the early hours of the day. The land was quiet, but the air felt tense. He rode with a small team of his trusted guards. When they reached the high wooden gates, two Sauna pack guards stepped forward and blocked the entrance with their spears. One guard lifted his hand. “By command, we're not to admit anyone into the pack,” he said.Lucas held his reins and looked at them with calm eyes. “Open the gates,” he said. “I need to speak with your elders.”“No one enters,” the guard replied. His voice was firm. “We are under strict orders.”Lucas kept his voice steady. “Call an elder then. Tell them Alpha Lucas of the Howlers Pack is here.”The guards looked at each other. The second guard said, “We know who you are. We remember you.”Lucas nodded once. “Then you know I am at peace with your pack. You also know I do not bring harm.”“We understand,” the first guard said. “But we have orders. No strangers in the pack at this time.”Lucas studied their fac
