An eerie silence fell on the dining table as we quietly ate our breakfast. Alex had squeezed my hand when I nervously glanced at his grandmother sitting cross-legged across the table, waiting for us. I guess she was mad at us for being late, because a certain someone had to force me into another round after I came out dressed up elegantly in a red off shoulder dress with a slit running up my right thigh.
