Chapter 4

•••

As we traveled the long road, I immediately talked to Sheina on the phone. I just told her not to worry because Felix and David are with me but still, she's like a child who was left behind for a while by his friends.

"It's that Shiena?" Felix asked causing me to nod and give him the cellphone I was holding.

She was calling me because she had a bad feeling about us going to that kind of place. especially that place that has a connection with Uriel. She was very annoyed with that man, Iknow that, but you know? He shouldn't worry because Felix and David are going to that place with me.

And lastly I am the Alpha here. What did she think me for?

"Hello, Ms. Doctor! Huh? We don't really know if you support us or not. Besides, I can beat Uriel! You have to believe me!" Felix frowned when he complained to the other person.

I was going to ask more but he immediately pressed the loud speaker button on the cellphone so we could hear Shiena's loud voice on the other line.

"Hey, Felix! Don't brag about it! I beat you in the armbar! You're shy, you can't beat Uriel, idiot!"

When we heard what Shiena answered on the other line, I couldn't help but laugh. This woman is truly an a****n, defeat is not in her vocabulary.

"Wow! It's been a long time Sheina! I'm still a boy that time! You're terrible!"

"And now you're embarrassed because a woman defeated you in the armbar?! Ha! Then brag to me when you've defeated me!"

Laughter grew louder in the car because of what the woman said. Actually, I can see Shiena's smoking nose while fighting with Felix. There's nothing wrong with the two of them, they're really just pretending that their hatred for each other reaches to the sky. Because we saw their relationship from the beginning, they're just showing their kind of friendship to each other, and sometimes they are misunderstood by others.

"Come on! You really have no shame, Felix! You put my call on loudspeaker!"

"Gosh! You're pretending to be shy but you really just want people to listen to you."

"Oh really Felix? Fuck you!" After Sheina said that, we all screamed. I grinned widely and looked at Felix who was starting to be red from embarrassment.

"You witch!"

"That's enough," I said to the two of them. I heard Shiena's loud laugh on the other line so I just shook my head. "Anyway what is it Shiena? Why did you call me?" I asked.

We are already in the middle of the city and we will spend almost an hour in the car before we finally arrive at our destination. I'm also thinking about how I'll treat Uriel when we meet there, because our last meeting wasn't really good so even though I'm worried about going there suddenly, I still have to prepare myself just in case.

"Oh, I just wanted to tell you that this man I'm guarding now, earlier, he was saying something." That's when I was suddenly surprised.

"What do you mean?"

"He was still asleep right, Shiena? Are you talking about sleep talking?" David asked looking seriously at the road because he was driving the car.

"Yeah. It's like that."

"What is he saying? Do you understand?" Felix asked, making my curiosity rise on Shiena's answer.

"Yeah. He was... he was calling for help." I was suddenly shocked because of that. My hand is clenched, I don't want to think about it but I keep trying to figure out where he really came from.

"Help... do you mean, help by someone? His friends? Family?"

"Help by someone. He was also talking about something earlier, he was calling about ta...dad? Dad? Those are the things he was whispering." The five of us frowned.

"He's asking his father for help?"

"I don't know! Because I don't really understand. But for me, he's not asking for help from his father, it's like he's asking for help from---" We were both stunned and looked at my cellphone that had blacked out. I then saw my reflection there, and it was not what I expected.

"Sorry guys, my phone is dead." I said and I hid my phone in the pocket of the pants I was wearing.

I didn't think my cellphone would die while I was talking to Shiena on the other line. Maybe I thought that I made hang up on the call, just thinking about his face that was steaming with anger made me shake my head.

"Wow... don't you know how to charge your cellphone, Alpha?" Felix asked with a laugh.

I just glanced at it for a moment sitting behind David, before leaning back in my seat and sighing. "I didn't have time to charge it this morning. Anyway, what do you think of what Shiena said a while ago?" I asked my companions to take their eyes off me.

"Do you think he's right or what we're thinking is right? Maybe he's really from there? He was asking for help in his dreams?"

"That's not impossible either, isn't it Alpha? Those people coming from the outskirts are experiencing abuse from those watchers that guarding them right? And because of that they were asking for help?" What they're saying is not wrong either. There is a possibility that he really came from there, there is also a possibility that he didn't.

I can't even imagine that he ran away from there because that place is very far before you reach the City, and if your stomach and body are strong, you can stilk go there.

"It's possible. But we need to know it from there."

"Ah, Alpha?"

"What?"

"How do we know where he came from if we're not with him now or we don't even know his name? Because... maybe they have lists there, don't they?" asked one of our fellow pack warriors.

I stopped. I turned to him, I looked at David who also suddenly glanced at me, Felix who also suddenly stopped... because yes? How will we know if we are not with him and I don't even know his name?

"Shit. were doomed."

---

Before finally entering that place, there was a huge gate we had to enter. Every car that enters is first given a strict inspection by the guards, so that nothing goes wrong once they get inside. But in our current situation, we have a problem.

"Alpha, what are we going to do?" Felix asked while I was just looking at the front of the car.

"We'll see."

"Are we really going to go inside? Well, we don't have a lead on who that man is." David replied, making my head hurt.

I closed my eyes and suddenly grabbed my forehead. As much as I was thinking, it didn't occur to me to find out its name or make a plan before going here. Ha... Alec, what the hell are you thinking?

"Alpha, do we need to take action?" asked one of the two pack warriors with us.

I know all of us here are freaking out. Because we are all not ready to go from here, especially the person we are aiming for in this place.

"No. I will give you the signal to do that. And we're not here to create another problem." I answered.

When we were in front of a tall and big man, I just turned to David, he already knew what to do, so after a short discussion between them, they asked us inside opened all the windows of the car. We immediately followed his order. But I didn't expect that when I lowered the window next to me, the sudden appearance of a person that I don't want to see now.

"Hey! Hey! You see the opportunity my friend!" he shouted with a big smile on his lips as he approached the car. Because of the loudness of his voice as if he were drunk, he stole the attention of other people there, causing him to look at where we were.

And friend? Were not friends though.

When he finally got close to me, he immediately leaned his arm above the car and watched the people inside through the open window, before turning his pair of eyes to me. I don't really have a good feeling about this guy.

"What is an Alpha doing here? The Alpha of a rich territory in Vinizia City, the Dark Moon Pack." Uriel's endless introductions when we meet.

A daring smile plays on his lips while looking at me, won't the look he always reveals to us be different? I looked at him lifelessly and met his gaze causing the smile on his lips to grow wider.

"I didn't come here for you, Uriel." I answered him.

His eyes immediately looked at me in surprise. "Huh? then what are you doing here?" this question surprised me. the smile etched on his lips temporarily disappeared, but they immediately returned, it just widened as if he thought something silly about why we were here. "Ahh... I know, you want to make yourself happy tonight, don't you?" he asked while smiling like a fucking idiot.

He guessed, but a wrong one. After he said that, he laughed like he was going crazy. His laugh was demonic, the one Shiena feared about Uriel. So that's the reason why Shiena was very scared when I said we are going here.

But that's nothing for me and those guys at the back. It's normal, it's normal that Uriel goes crazy from time to time.

But I suddenly squirmed in my seat when Uriel's hand hit my shoulder hard, he leaned against the car as if there was no car waiting behind us.

"You know, Alec, I'll introduce you to a lot if that's what you came here for. Don't worry! You still have a discount from me!" he said as if drunk while grinning and patting my shoulder.

Every pat on my shoulder was heavy and powerful. I just ignored it because I know he heard what I said. I'm not here for him.

"That's not what I came here for, Uriel." I answered him seriously.

I don't want to say my purpose here but it's already consuming my time. That was important to me because I was also waiting for a call from Shiena. We can't stay here any longer.

"Huh? You know that excuse of yours is not new to me, Alec, I've heard many people say that they didn't come here for that," he answered as he suddenly put his head inside the car. I didn't move and inch and just waited for what he want to say next, "But you know what? I just saw that they were leading a woman from inside? Going to get into their car? Until that woman doesn't come back here again? " he softly whispers to me and he grinned again.

I was going to let him say what he want to say but I didn't expect when he suddenly touch my jaw. And from that time I want to blow his face, won't he finish what he's saying? I'm getting impatient, Uriel.

"Don't compare me to the people you speak of, Uriel. We didn't come here for that." I whispered in front of his face. "Stick that in your mind. Now, get out of there and I'll close the window and let us pass." I added.

I saw how Uriel staring blankly at me and the smile on his lips slowly disappeared, as if he was surprised by what I said. We stared at each other for a few minutes. I didn't take my eyes off him, I was waiting for what he would do next. Because if he does something, I will immediately get back at him.

I really don't understand this man sometimes. I sighed in relief when he removed himself completely from entering the car window, he frowned at me causing the corner of my lips to rise.

"Meet me inside, Alpha Alec of Dark Moon Pack." after saying this he walked away from the car first and entered a door next to the big gate in front of us.

The car started again entering the big gate. This is what I was thinking earlier, I don't know how to talk about it because I know this is what will happen when we meet. I couldn't help but sigh, I felt like all the strength I had from the house to here was gone because of seeing Uriel again.

"Park the car." I ordered. David immediately did as I said, he parked the car on one side where I could clearly see where Uriel was standing and waiting for me. I see a different emotion on his face now, it's not full of teasing anymore.

His face was serious as he watched us. "Felix and David, come with me. You two, stay here." I seriously ordered.

They immediately followed. When we got out, we immediately went straight to where Uriel was waiting, when we got close to it he was still staring at me. Maybe checking if I was joking with him or not.

I also feel something strange from him, but I don't want to drown in what I feel so that I can't overcome what I came here for.

I know that Uriel is also planning something and whatever it is, I will do everything to prevent him from interfering with my plan.

"Just prepare yourselves for what you'll see when we get there. And then I'll take you to Sebastian." As he said those words, his eyes remained focused on me.

They were sharp, and didn't even look at my companions waiting behind me. It was as if through them they were threatening me. When he finally walked inside an old door, we followed and entered from there.

When it closed I looked at the red handle he was holding. I turned to its eyes, and I could only say one thing from there. Like he was saying that I will see my biggest nightmare again. Nah, I'll never see it again, I'm doing it because of that guy.

"Hold onto the steel on your side guys, this was a really... really hellish ride." And after that he flashed his very evil smile at me and then forcefully dropped the one he had been holding.
