Chapter 3

The sun is beautiful today, I woke up early because my sleep was interrupted, as if something was preventing me from falling asleep properly. I don't know why I can't sleep, I don't have any serious thoughts and I'm not even tired from what happened yesterday. Because I woke up early, I didn't sleep again and just waited for the sun to finally rise in the east. Because of that, the strange man that the pack warriors and Felix saw in the east, two days ago, suddenly came to my mind.

Yes, it's been two days since we saw him, he's been sleeping in the room I gave him to rest for two days. Sometimes Shiena comes to my house to check on that man, I'm surprised because he's been resting on the bed that I own for a long time I thought the strange man would wake up a day later because I needed to know a lot from him, but I learned from Shiena that its regeneration process is not as fast as ours.

I didn't ask Shiena again, I just stared at that man's face. When I first saw him lying in the hospital bed, his face was very dirty, but now, I can notice that his face is not bad either. this man has a beautiful face. I opened the door where he was lying, and I again saw his face sleeping soundly.

I went inside and closed the door carefully so she wouldn't wake up. I walked closer to the bed and took a chair from the side, I placed it next to the bed where he was lying and sat there quietly.

I didn't even take my eyes off his face. The day before, after I found out from Felix that they had seen a man, I immediately called the four. They're also confused when I said that it wasn't from those people who caused chaos on the South. Even I couldn't explain what was happening because I was also confused.

so Timothy said that he was going to come here three days later because he had to take care of something. I'm fine with him sending his Beta or Gamma here so they can find out and let him know the truth. because I know that my friend Tim is stubborn,

I just let him do what he wants. I sighed, for the past day I've been restless I think maybe it's because of this person. Honestly, I really want him to wake up, I want to know if the people we are looking for are really with him or not. It's a big puzzle to me because they still haven't been found, so I'm just desperate for him to wake up. But everything I was thinking stopped when I heard three knocks from the door.

I looked at the watch on my arm and immediately got up from sitting to open the door for the person waiting outside. this is the she-wolf who checked on the unconscious man the other day at the hospital, her name is Doctor Shiena.

"Oh? Good morning, Alpha Alec." Sheina greeted me as she entered.

I nodded at her, when she got inside I quietly closed the door. I walked to the side of the bed and put my hands in the pockets of my pants and greeted her.

"Good morning to you too, Doc Shiena."

"Nah, don't say that doctor term to me when I am doing my duty."

"But you're a doctor," he looked at me lifelessly, I thought I was seeing her wolf inside of those hazel eyes.

I can only nod to answer Shiena. She came all the way to the side of the bed, dropped the bag she was holding on the floor and looked at the unconscious man in front of her.

"Is he still not awake?"

"Yeah. Will he wake up today?" She looked at me and I was surprised by that so I backed away a little, I'm still not used to seeing her stare at me like that.

"Why are you in such a hurry, Alec? Did you really not understand what I was saying when you asked me about this guy? His regeneration process is too slow, same regeneration as humans. Are you dumb?" I winced.

Early in the morning, Shiena scolded me.

"I'm sorry." I whispered softly. I saw her shake her head and started to look at the condition of that man so I immediately turned around to see the beautiful view of the morning in front of the open window

"I know that until now you're still thinking about what happened in the South, and that's why you can't sleep and also because of the arrival of this man. Can you stop working up? You're doing your job as our Alpha, stop stressing yourself . Do you want to be admitted to my hospital again when you are triggered again?" this long explanation made my eyes close.

Yes. I admit it. That's what I am thinking, and that's the reason why I can't sleep.

 "Sheina, you know that right?"

"Yes, I know. That's why I said that you should only order David or Felix to watch over here or even the pack warriors! There are too many of them, Alec. But what did you do? You actually brought your job here to watch over this man. Are you crazy, Alec?" I can feel the annoyance in her voice. I can't blame her.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Find your Luna you dimwit!" I turned to Shiena in shock after she said that to me.

"What the hell are you talking about?" His eyes narrowed at me,

"Do you think I'm dumb Alec? You should find your own Luna so I can finally become a godmother, duh!"

I squeezed the bridge of my nose, "Did David tell you?"

"No. I just felt it. Besides, your friends have Lunas, but you don't. Aren't you jealous?" She asked and completely adjusted the blanket of the man lying on the bed, she quietly sat down in the chair next to the bed.

I crossed my arms, "let me tell you, I'm not jealous of them,"

She raised her left eyebrow to me and laughed softly as if you thought I was joking with her, "Oh, really? Do you think we're all as stupid as you?"

Shiena's words really hurt. "Not really, Sheina,"

"Alec, I knew you for how many years now and this is how you're going to lie about what you really want? You're our Alpha Alec and I'm eager to be a godmother, are you crazy?!" She yelled at me and I could see the frustration on her face that made my eyes widen.

Is this one really my friend? why does she really want me to have a wife when one of the reasons is just to be a godmother?! What the hell?

"I'm sick and tired of being sad because I don't see any handsome men in my hospital except Felix and David, you know that?!" She complaint to me and I noticed that she was about to cry so I stopped while standing on the other side of the bed. I don't know what to do with my friend crying like a fool while wiping her invisible tears. It's strange, why did I become friends with this one?

"So hurry up and find your Luna so that I can become a godmother and see a cute, cute baby!"

Suddenly I covered my face with my hand and shook my head. I never thought that in the morning, this is what I will immediately hear from him? Earlier we were just talking about the man who was lying quietly in bed and now, everything has ended in the search for Luna?

"You're crazy, Shiena. Anyway, how's he doing?" I asked here while looking at the man lying on the bed. "Is there progress in his condition?"

"Ah yes, there is. I don't know if it was a miracle that Felix found him or it was his miracle that he found us," she answered, making me frown.

"What do you mean?" Shiena smiled at me causing my curiosity to know more about what she had to say next. "He was rare, Alec. He's a rare Omega."

"Rare Omega? Do you think he's from the outskirts?" David asked after I found out from Shiena what she told me earlier. After she came here and left, I was still thinking about what she suddenly said.

If he was a rare omega, maybe he was from that place? In a place where people like him exist. But how did he end up at the border of my territory? What? Did he just leave there? The people they own won't do that.

"He was covered in bruises. We know that a lot of omega's are coming from that kind of place, so it's possible that he came from there?" Felix added, which confused my mind even more. 

Omega's are rare, as in super rare. and that's what I knew about them. And those omega's are coming from that kind of place. Dark and dusty. Because if other people can see the place where they live and what goes on in it, you will know the dehumanization that is done to people like them. no matter whether they are male or female, they are treated the same, treated like a slave.

The Omegas I met who came from that place had a hard life. Some of them are mistreated and more experience cruelty at the hands of someone owning them. And sometimes you can say that one of them is lucky if they are bought by a rich person or Alpha from there. Because they can leave that hellish place. Honestly, if I could just take out all the Omegas currently living there I wouldn't think twice about doing that, but I know that's not easy to do. Especially if big and powerful people are behind them.

"What do you think Alpha? Do you think that's where he came from?" Felix asked me with a frown.

We are currently in the office, I immediately sent them here after Shiena's visit earlier because I need to confirm from both of them what she said. I don't doubt what Shiena said, but I doubt what Felix and David said if the man they saw really came from that place before he came to my territory.

"It's also not impossible that maybe that's where he really came from." I answered emphatically while leaning back in my seat.

Felix and David who were in front of me looked at each other. "If that's the case, shall we go to that place to find out if he really came from there?" David immediately asked.

"No. I have to go there myself to find out the truth." I answered in a serious voice.

I don't want to leave my territory without them. not one of them can be left here.

"But Alpha, what if you see Uriel there? What if he does to you again what he did before?" Felix asked worriedly.

Because of what I heard, I was immediately stunned, I suddenly remembered what that man did before, but now, he was not my purpose in going there. "I don't care about him." I seriously answered him.

I also never forget the people I will see there when I set foot in that place. but I don't want my territory to be affected by the bad things that will happen if one of their Omegas is here. I'm not just going to sit here and do nothing. I need to know the truth. I have to make a way.

I turned to the two in front of me. I know they are just as worried as I will be... I know that, but I have no other choice. But if they really want to come, fine, I'll let them. "Alright. After all, I'll need you two there too. Take two more pack warriors with you. And order all the guards at every gate and the surrounding area to watch it carefully, we need to come back here and I hope won't receive a bad news from them." I ordered the two who were just waiting for what I had to say. 

They immediately went to follow my order and said goodbye to prepare the car that will take us to that place. When I was left alone in the office, I called Shiena to go to that man's room again. I need to talk to her.

I stood up from where I was sitting and walked to the room where that man was resting. When I find out that he is from that place, I will not hesitate to send him back to where he came from.

When I opened the door, I saw that he had changed his place on the bed, it looked like he was sleeping very well and he didn't know that he was in another house. And I was just surprised when Shiena entered the room gasping for air and panting.

 "W-why did you call me? Do you know I'm busy at the hospital right now? I just got here and you're going to send me here again?!" She complained quickly but I didn't pay attention to that.

I immediately walked over to the sleeping man and fixed his blanket. "I need you here," as I said, I immediately saw from the corner of my eyes that his face became serious.

"What do you mean?"

"Keep an eye on him."

"Me? But you can do that, duh!"

"I know. But I need to do something right now." I answered while staring at the face of the man sleeping soundly on the bed.

"Then just ask Felix and David here because I'm busy," she answered me with a frown.

"They're coming with me so I really need you here, Shiena." Because of that, she was surprised from what I said,

"Where are you going? Is this what you were talking about the other day? Is there a lead yet?" she nervously asked me.

"No. We still don't have any lead. But were going out to go to the outskirts," when I said that, Shiena immediately pulled my clothes.

I wasn't surprised when she did that. When I looked into her eyes, I saw fear passing through there because of what she heard from me. Shiena knew about how dark the outskirts are, that's why she was looking at me like that, she's scared. 

"W-what are you going to the outskirts? I-is there a problem there? Are you with Timothy?" her voice stuttered when she asked me.

I shook my head. "No. But I need to go there to know the answer."

"Answer? Answer about what? Answer to what happened in the South?" I shook my head again. This time I held her shoulder and stared at her hazel eyes before answering her question.

"I need to go there to know if this guy that was sleeping right now is not from that place, and if he was from there, I need to return him from them." When she heard me, she was stunned.

She slowly turned to the man lying on the bed, she stared at it for a few seconds before she looked at me again. 

As she slowly nodded and walked closer to the bed. "What... what should I do?"

"Stay here until we come back. And when he wakes up, call me right away." Sheina nodded again at what I said.

I could see the worry and fear on her face and even though she wasn't looking at me I knew she was worried. I can't blame her for that, hse has a right to be worried.

I sighed. I walked closer to Shiena and held her right shoulder, "Sheina, everything's gonna be okay. We're not going there to create another problem."

"I know, but Uriel..." Ah, that beast.

"Uriel is out of this. We just wanna know the truth about this guy," I pointed to the man in front of us. She nodded.

"Don't be scared. We'll be right back." I said and then patted his shoulder.

She sighed heavily before answering. "Yes. Can I stop you? It's your responsibility and duty to know the truth, but make sure that you guys come back here alive. If not I'll go to Uriel myself to slap him in the face." She said. I know she was so angry at Uriel and that made me laugh.

"Yeah, yeah. I promise. I need to go." I say goodbye. She just nodded at me and before I went out, I glanced at the face of the man lying on the bed.

I hope he doesn't come from there, because if it's the opposite of what I expected, it's going to be a big problem. After closing the door, I immediately went down from the second floor of the house, when I went down, I saw Felix and David waiting outside with two pack warriors. I went straight out and got into the car that was going to take us to a place I hadn't seen in a long time.
