ANMELDENEvan’s POV:“What do you mean, curse?” Valerian shoots me one deep, murderous glare, freezing me in my place.I gulped, not because I didn’t know what curse it was but because of how I knew.I remained focused on his friend lying on the bed. My brows furrowed, however, when I realized he is getting paler by the minute.Pushing Valerian to the side, I moved closer to the boy on the bed.‘Well he ain’t a boy any longer.’ Malek commented, noting his sharp features in contrast to my son’s rough, defined features, yet that doesn’t make him any less mature-looking.I let my hand hover above him, just as I hear a low growl come from far behind me when the woman, I suppose is his mother, hissed at Zayne warningly.“You don’t lay a finger on him…” she growls, leaving me quite surprised but not more than Zayne, whose expression comes out shaken.“Baby, no, you don’t understand –” he tries to explain but is cut off again with the blonde woman’s threatening growl.I wouldn’t want to be on the rec
Chapter 128Valerie’s POV:A couple moments later, a knock came on the door.I stepped forward and opened it, revealing Evan’s wolf, Malek, and my son who apparently rode him all the way back.Liana couldn’t help but chuckle at our pup Valerian, as he throws his leg over Malek and stomps toward me angrily. He didn’t look at me or speak at all. I guess I deserved that for putting him in the care of the one person he hated the most.‘Well, he sure is pissed.’ Liana commented, while practically drooling over the big-ass wolf grinning at us.I rolled my eyes and turned on my heel, focusing instead on the real situation at hand.I hear bones crack in the air, indicating that he must have shifted. God I hope he finds some loincloth back there or something.‘Well, I wouldn’t mind seeing that,’ Liana murmured but I still heard her.‘Lia!’ I scolded when Victoria’s voice yanked me out of my conversation with a horndog for a wolf.I feel my wolf shrink and I let out a breath of relief. “Valer

Valerie’s POV:Staring wide-eyed as Evan shifted into his alpha wolf and jumped at the man holding a knife to Valerian’s chest, I sucked in a breath.Evan mauled his neck before we hear a snap and the man’s head dropped to the ground, then his body followed. The silence that came after was filled with shock before I eventually snapped out of my trance and turned tot he others. There were three more, standing there with shocked faces on their own before they quickly grabbed ahold of each other. Before I could get my hands on any of them, the three disappeared. And as they did, the man’s body quickly turned to rot and decay, eventually turning into ashes with just his coat remaining solidified.Evan’s low growls turned into soft whimpers. My eyes snap to his large wolf, who makes eye contact with us for a whole moment before lowering his gaze to Valerian. He had stumbled back, his mouth agape watching as Evan mauled the guy, effectively splitting his head from his body in the process.‘
Valerian’s POV“Look what we have here,” a mocking voice echoed from a distance.“Who’s there?!” I demand and Levi freezes beside me.“Two lovebirds. What a disgusting sight to see.” the voice chuckles.I pause. Lovebirds?“What the fuck are you talking about? Come out and show yourself,” I demand. Levi goes rigid while I stared out into the darkness.A tall, dark figure stepped forward. I felt a sick, intimidating aura burst into the air. His aura slamming into me like shards of glass I almost suffocate.I see Levi looking at the figure with widened eyes, thinking the same thing as I am.This man is incredibly dangerous, that’s for sure. He’s cloaked, about 6 ft tall and has a bulky frame.I don’t know why he’s here and what he’s up to, but the terrifying smile on his face tells me it’s no good.I unconsciously take a step backward when Levi groaned out in pain, holding his stomach.“Levi!” I watch him take slow, deep breaths before he turned to me with a bead of sweat trailing down
Valerian’s POV:I awake to the sound of birds chirping and tweeting. Warmth spread through my cheeks and I force my eyes open to the sight of the bright blue sky greeting me.But that is only the background of the main focal point of the scene. Inches away from me is Levi, staring straight into my eyes while his hands are pinned on the grass on both sides of my head. His gaze quickly turned from confusion to shock, then embarrassment as he moved off of me, while I laid there, blinking at the clouds and the memory of his reddened face. Was he… blushing?“Y-You were sleeping so peacefully, I couldn’t wake you up,” he murmured under his breath.Keeping my eyes locked on Levi, I noticed the way his ears turned bright red. I chuckled deeply, finding his awkward display of his embarrassment rather amusing just before realization hit me.“Wait, what time is it?” I asked frantically looking around the brightly-lit forest. It looked just as magical as it was last night, but holy shit, if I’m l
