58| Seeing the future

Ryder came into Lucien's throne room and immediately lowered his head to greet the elders and the Alpha.

Once Lucien understood he had news, he dismissed his elders and sat upright to listen to what Ryder had found out.

"I still haven't found out the real culprit behind the arrow alpha, but give me a little more time." Ryder said. He was still trying to hide the fast pacing of his heart.

Lucien was way too occupied to notice the strange look he gave, or the rate at which his heart was beating.

"Alright, for now, stand back and do nothing. This time, I won't sit back again and watch." He assured Ryder. He gestured with his hands for the young warrior to walk out.

As Ryder reached the door, he met with Dargak on his way. He didn't want to turn back, or even stare at Dargak, but as always, Dargak was always the suspicious one.
