Chapter Three: Future Wife.

I woke up earlier than I expected. I didn’t get enough sleep but then who can sleep in a place you know full of beasts? If I were in the West, I wouldn't worry like this. However, I wasn't. After I quickly took a shower, I wore the uniform that the old lady asked me to wear.

In front of the full-length mirror, I saw my reflection. The uniform I was wearing fits my slim body. It is a simple black dress that reaches above my knees, a white apron and a hair cap. I really look like a royal maid now. I sighed and tied my hair so that I can easily do tasks that they will ask me.

I went to the door when a knock was made. The old lady was in front of me, scanning my whole body.

“Good, now I will tour you to the mansion and I will also train you on do’s and dont’s here,” she said. “By the way, I haven’t ask your name…”

“I’m H-holly,” I replied.

She nodded. “Alright, it is nice to meet you, Holly. I am Cecilia, the female head butler in this mansion.”

I slowly nodded. “I-it is nice to meet you, thank you for being nice with me.”

She just shook her head and then started to walk. I followed her while we were walking. The whole place is more engrand than Alpha Magnus’ mansion. I visited there once before, but this seems different. Alpha Magnus’ mansion is alive and a lot of Lycans that were serving there are smiling. But then this mansion feels so heavy. From the Lycans, I guess the Omegas, the furniture that was older than Cecilia, I guess. It is so lonely and sad… Even the chandelier that was lighting the whole mansion.

“Here is our kitchen,” Cecilia stepped inside.

The Lycans inside turned their heads to us. Their eyes glow yellow just like how Cecilia’s eyes glowed.

“A human?” a woman scoffed. “What’s with Alpha?”

“Shh!” The other woman servant stopped her.

The whole morning while Cecilia toured me around the mansion, the Lycans were not welcoming. Instead, they kept on glaring or didn't even glance at me. I didn't understand that until Cecilia told me that Alpha Luther didn't even once bring a human here after his parents died. I asked her why but she refused to tell me.

After an exhausting day, I sat down on the bed and then sighed. Never in my entire life have I gotten tired like this. After Cecilia toured me, she quickly told me to wash the dishes and clean up the toilet. I thought it was just a simple task but to my surprise it wasn't. Turned out that there are other officials who are living in this mansion but they weren't seen often because they leave early or at night.

Lying down on the bed, my eyes were getting heavy when the bed suddenly sagged, which made me snap and lifted my head to see someone.

It was the Alpha…

“Did I allow you to sleep?” he asked.

I quickly got up from the bed and glared at him.

“Bring me back to the West! I can't be your slave just because you have bitten me!” I squirmed.

But it seems like he doesn't care about my complaint. Instead, he lowered his head to lean on me. My eyes widened. As soon as I saw his deep yellow eyes, it made me nervous.

“Get up, we need to go somewhere,” he said.

“To where?” I fired back.

“One more question, and you’ll regret it.”

After saying those, he stood up then walked straight to the door. But before he left, he told me he would wait for me outside.

I have no choice but to follow his order if I don't want to die here. I still want to escape from this nightmare and in order to do that, I have to do whatever he wants me to.

After I got up, I didn't change clothes. It was still the same as what I wore earlier. When I opened the door, Alpha wasn't there so I had to look from side to side. I almost jumped out in surprise to see him hovering over the other side.

“Let’s go,” he said.

He caught my wrist and we walked through the way I didn't even know. I have no idea where we are going. Maybe he would torture me?

But then, I was surprised when we got to the dining area. The lonely table gives me goosebumps. I have been here earlier and the aura was lonely. How could he eat here? A long black marble table and chairs, then the old chandelier that was in the middle made it more depressing.

“Eat with me.”

Turning my head to him, I quickly saw the loneliness in his eyes. I have seen someone who was sad but his eyes are more than that. Although Cecilia already gave me a meal earlier, I slowly nodded my head. I have to eat with him…

If not, it would be lonely for him to eat alone.

He sat down on the nearest chair and told me to sit down in front of him. I was hesitant at first but he glared at me so I pushed through.

A woman came and served us food. It was all meat and veggies salad.

“What kind of meat is this?” I asked.

“That’s human meat.”

“What?!”

Flashing a smirk, he lowered his head then started to slice the meat.

“It's deer meat. Don’t overthink and just eat. I won't feed you something you didn't want.”

“But you’re making me do things that I’m against?”

He shrugged. “Yes… because I want to.”

I clenched my jaw and lowered my head to avoid seeing him. Whatever it is that he wants from me, I’m afraid it would be something that I didn't want.

“Get ready for tomorrow, I’ll introduce you to the council.”

“What? Why? To officially tell them I am a new slave?” I scoffed. “Was getting a new slave necessary to announce?”

“I will officially tell them you’re my future wife.”

With that, my jaw dropped.
