I chuckled.

“What are you saying about me, Alice?” Andy asked.

“Nothing, dad,” she said.

“But I overheard you whispering,” Andy said.

“Oh dad!” She said as she hit her palm on her forehead. “How can you possibly hear someone whispering? Ok tell me something. If one was whispering and you overheard them, can it still be considered as whispering?”

“I mean, no, I don’t think so,” Andy said.

“Good. I know I was whispering but you didn’t hear me. Why? Because I was whispering, you must have heard someone else,” Alice said.

“What is this drama?” Andy mumbled.

“Did you say something, Rhett?” Andy asked.

Rhett shook his head, gesturing that he didn’t.

Cassey and Laura both entered the room, each holding a big bowl. They went in and out of the room, placing each bowl they brought on the middle of the dining table.

After serving the food, Laura and Cassey both had their seats. We all flipped our plates that were previously upside down and dished out the meal we would try first.
