Lucian stepped into the study just after Felix had taken a seat. The house was silent, Wendy had returned to her quarters and Anna was probably sleeping. He wanted to see her, but that would be later in the morning.

He shut the door behind him and walked straight to his desk. He had work to do and sitting on the couch beside his friend was going to make him lag behind. He didn't have that time to entertain any form of unseriousness.

Turning his swivel chair to face Felix, Lucian took a seat. He had rearranged his study and gotten rid of every book that had scattered around the whole area the day before yesterday and now, it looked like his old study.

Before him, papers were held to his wooden table by paper weights. It contained the budget to be used to fund the upcoming festival. Everything they were going to buy, expenses to be made, people to pay. It was all listed in those papers.
