I’m unable to sleep, this is all so unbelievable.

I pace around the large room; I’ve never seen a bedroom this large. Mine and my mom’s room was the size of the bathroom here. My mom will be elated when she finds out that I’m mated to the Alpha of a pack.

My mom wasn’t always a rogue. She and her parents got banished from a pack long before I was born because her dad had revolted against the Alpha and my mom kept trying to become his Luna even though he was mated to someone else.

I never met my grandparents. My mom never talked about what happened that caused them to separate. But soon she was found by Master Wraith, and he took her in, and she has lived as one of his slaves ever since.

She did the best she could to raise me and keep me safe, but she was a bitter woman. She criticized me for my looks and there were days I would go unfed. I still don’t know if she did that because we didn’t have enough to eat or if it’s because she thought I needed to lose weight.
