Chapter 38 Mateo

My mate, I never caught her name, pulls up to a beach side house that is freaking huge. It’s almost as big as the pack house in the Verona Pack.

She gets out of her car and starts to grab groceries and a woman comes down the stairs and says, “Aurora, you know you should ask for help when you have bags.”

She laughs and says, “I’m fine, truly, just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I can’t bring inside some groceries.”

The woman tsks at her as she grabs the bags from her arms. She says, “You know that Aamon wouldn’t approve.”

My mate, Aurora, rolls her eyes and says, “I’m not a piece of glass. I assure you that I’m okay. Also, I plan to cook tonight.”

The woman freezes and asks hesitantly, “Are you sure that’s the best idea?”

Aurora crosses her arms and bites her lower lip and asks, “Am I really that bad of a cook?”
