Chapter 24 ADRIA'S POV I sat up abruptly as I woke up from that horrible nightmare. I was thankful that it was daytime now, but my body was still aching, and I could still feel a bit of migraine. When is mother going to be back? My body was beginning to ache more than expected. Chapter 25 ADRIA’S POV That night, while I was alone and Lucien had gone back to his house, I felt on top of the world. I had had such a wonderful time with him, and it felt as if I got more closer to him, which was like every woman’s dream especially if they loved the man so much. But then, I was missing my mother, and I hoped that she was okay. Because of me, she had done a lot of things and gone through a lot, and I didn’t want her to get into trouble just because she was trying so hard for me to live a good life, and to be hale and hearty. I exhaled, and hoped she was fine, then I laid down to rest. Hopefully, I don’t have a nightmare tonight. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I fell asleep. Chapter 26 ADRIA'S POV. I stared into my mother's worry and uncertainty-filled eyes, and wondered why she was so insistent on asking me if I had seen something scary recently. Of course I had. I had seen Lucius in his beastly form a few days ago, and I had been in the other reality which was even more of a scare for me, especially the last encounter I had with the hooded figure that had taken the breath out of me. Chapter 27 ADRIA'S POV. A foolish smile spread on my face and my lashes swept low to the floor. He took a few steps closer and pulled my hand towards him, then he went back to leaning on his desk and had me in front of him. "We should lock the door." I told him blushing and unable to meet his eyes, and he chuckled. "Did you forget all your novels about wolves? Anyone's footsteps coming too close would be heard by me."
