21. Unbelievable Revelation

The information that was divulged by Erica was not what he was expecting. Even Leikos was baffled by this. The cogs in his brain seemed to be working slowly at that moment, processing and reprocessing her confession. Erica was looking at him earnestly, hopefully as if he would have an answer to her uncanny or should he say supernatural experience.

He did not know what his face conveyed but gradually Erica lowered her eyes and made a move to pull away and that seemed to jolt Xavier out of his stupor.

"No!" he said a little too loudly making her squeak. She immediately ceased the action. Xavier felt guilty for scaring his mate, he hurriedly corrected his mistake, "I mean...I did not expect to...hear such a thing." He was anxious. Leikos huffed exasperatedly and had his wolf been a human he would have surely rolled his eyes. For the first time in his life, he felt at a loss for words.
