CHAPTER 3 ~ She’s Weird

DAMON'S POV

      It's been months since I last saw her and I have been restless since. I was told she died yet I never saw her body. I didn't stop looking for her as I believed that is a joke and she is not dead. I just had this feeling that she's still alive. I've been very sad and lonely till I saw her being auctioned off by Melia, princess of the Moonstone pack and someone else. 

I can't help but think what her deal is with those people and why she would be with them. The Moonstone pack is literally enemies with us, what was she doing with them? All these questions kept ringing in my head even though I should be happy she's back alive. I stayed by her side all night without leaving. 

I just wanted her to wake up and say something to me. I am more desperate than my beta Hale thinks. This woman is mine, and I get jealous seeing her with another man, though she wasn't exactly with a man. It makes my blood boil actually because she could have been with a man while she wasn't with me. 

She didn't wake up until morning the next day. I also fell asleep sitting beside her, I opened my eyes when I felt her hands poke me a little. She probably doesn't know where she is yet. Her eyes fluttered open after she stretched on the bed. She looked at the ceiling for a while, then looked around the room till her eyes landed on me. 

She jerked up and sat straight. I quickly hugged her out of relief. 

"You're awake my darling. How could you do this to me? Why did you leave me Lea? I've missed you so much all these while. Do you have any idea how much I've been looking for you?" I lamented while hugging her tight. 

"Excuse me, can you let go? You're choking me." She said and I immediately let go. 

Why does her voice sound different and hugging her seems different? And her reaction is very different from how she used to react whenever I hug her. 

"Owww… My head hurts, what happened to me?" She held her head in pain that got me worried. 

"What's wrong Lea? Are you hurt anywhere? Tell me, do you want me to do anything for you?" I asked worriedly. 

She moved away a bit, "Yeah, please stay the hell away from me. I don't know who you are and what I am doing here. My name's Donnie not Lea, I think you've got the wrong person." 

I was shocked by her words, I didn't expect that at all. What happened to her while she was missing? Does she not remember me or is she playing a prank on me? 

"Lea, it's me Alpha Damon. I am your mate, don't you remember who I am? What is going on with you? I'm confused." 

She scoffed, "Mate? Alpha? What is this? Some sort of action teen wolf movie? How am I supposed to know you if I've never met you before in my life?" 

"Something is wrong somewhere. Something is going on with Lea that only the doctor can check out." I mumbled to myself, she heard me and glared at me. 

"Yeah. Something is definitely wrong with you Mr  Alpha whatever your name is. I don't know you, you've got the wrong person. I need to leave, I don't know how I got here in the first place--" She stopped like she remembered something. 

Finally, she is coming back to her senses I think. I nodded and encouraged her to say it out with my hands. 

"I should get out of here. This is getting weird. Was I thrown on the road?" She asked herself. 

She got up from the bed and stood up. I stepped in front of her, stopping her from taking any steps further in an attempt to get out of the room. 

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked her. 

"I appreciate your hospitality and help, thank you very much Mr Alpha. But then I have a life to get back to and I have to leave, if you could just step out of my way. I would really appreciate you more." She replied. 

I shook my head, "Do you know how you got here? You think it's that easy for you to leave after I bought you for five million dollars?" 

Though I'm hurt that she doesn't remember me at all. I still won't make the mistake of letting her go. I strongly believe she is my mate and she's probably battling with some memory loss. It's going to be my duty to help her get her memories back. 

She gasped as her eyes widened in shock, she covered her mouth. Then she moved away from me again, why can't she just stay close to me? It's not like I'm going to eat her up. 

"Five million dollars!!! Is this some sort of joke or what? Which idiot buys a human being for that huge amount of money?" She yelled at me. 

Idiot? Wow, this new Lea is very rude and daring. 

"You were auctioned off yesterday and I bought you, I only did that because you're my mate and I won't let anyone else have you." I fired back, though calmly. 

She scoffed angrily, "Seriously? There are so many people in the world you could have saved with that money, or better still why not give the money to me and see what I'll do with it. I can't believe he bought--" 

She stopped again as if she remembered something. I tried not to show my excitement this time but I was eager to hear what she had to say. 

"Auctioned off? They actually sold me to you? That's all they could do to get rid of me seriously? How could they do this to me? That girl, she… she changed into something… I saw it…" She said, her mood getting bad and I saw her feet shaking. 

"Are you okay? Why don't you just sit down and rest a bit. I don't think this is the moment to talk, I will call my doctor to look at you." I suggested. 

She walked towards me and collapsed in my arms. She became unconscious again, I laid her on the bed and called the doctor to get her. I still don't understand what is going on with her. I am having doubts about her yet my wolf keeps saying she's my mate. I am convinced since there's different evidence on her. I think she may have hit her head somewhere.
