Raven’s POV

Mason hasn’t taken his eyes off me since the moment I entered the dining hall. Even now, with Zahra’s fury simmering beside him, his attention is tethered to me like I am the only person in the room.

All I feel is being uncomfortable, all the pain I endured here comes rushing back to me. If truly Raphael loved me as he claims then he wouldn't bring me to a place where he knows I'm not comfortable with. All I got here is pain.

“Raven,” Mason says, his voice strangely soft, “let me show you the pack. I should have done it a long time ago.”

Zahra snaps her head toward him, disbelief etched into every line of her face. “Mason, no. This is ridiculous...”

But he cuts her off, his tone sharp, full of the authority of an Alpha. “Enough, Zahra. You will hold your tongue.” that makes me happy, too happy. I really feel evil right now.

The command cracks like a whip. Zahra’s eyes widen with fury, her hands curling into fists. For a moment, I think she might defy him, bu

  • Alpha's Mistress and the Beta   81. She's gone.

Raphael’s POV I shouldn't have kissed her. Now I have to cheat on her. I swore I wouldn’t go back to that stupid woman, but now I really have to. It’s been weeks since I f*cked her. I wait for Raven to sleep, then shoot her a quick text. Me: Are you up? Her: Yes. Me: I need to see you... now... please. Her: Wait for me, I’m on my way. She knows where we always meet. It’s still midday, so we need to be discreet. I head out first to my other apartment downtown. No one knows that I own it, not even Zahra. I wait for her inside as I freshen up. We’ve been casually f*cking even when we were abroad. I would sneak into her bedroom whenever Mason was out, and she never once pushed me away. At first, I did it because I had a massive crush on her and all she ever looked at was Mason. So one day I tried my shot, and she actually didn’t push me away. Then I met Raven, and everything changed the moment I saw her. All the affection I felt for Zahra vanished, and I knew right then and there

  • Alpha's Mistress and the Beta   80. You are all mine... Raven.

Raphael’s POV The door to my apartment shuts with a sharp click, sealing us in. The air still thrums faintly from Raven’s outburst in the garden, the walls holding on to the storm she unleashed. She doesn’t even realize how the power lingers, how she carries it with her like a crown. Good thing no one saw her, and Mason he's terrified but I'm sure he'll counter attack soon so I need to move faster with my plans. The earlier the better. She sits on the edge of my bed, her back straight, her fists tightening and loosening in her lap. Her curls, streaked with maroon, catch the dim light like strands of flame. She looks more than beautiful, she looks untouchable, otherworldly. I stand by the door for a moment, drinking in the sight. This is who she was always meant to be—not the fragile maid, not the stammering girl, but the storm-born. The daughter of Selene and Kael. The weapon, the curse, the savior. I smile slowly. “Raven,” I say, my voice low, steady. Her head lifts. He

Raven’s POV The storm hasn’t left me since I woke up. It lives under my skin, restless, whispering, reminding me that I am no longer who I once was. The maroon streaks in my hair fall into my eyes as I brush them back, and even the smallest movement crackles with strange energy. I feel… whole and fractured at once. Raphael notices everything. His eyes linger on me too long, as if he’s proud of what I’ve become. As if I’ve become exactly what he and my parents wanted. Sometimes, I hate the way he looks at me. Sometimes, it thrills me. That morning, he clasps my wrist as we step into the corridors of the Nadine-west mansion. His hand is warm, firm, but it feels like chains even though he holds me gently. “Today is important,” he says, his tone too calm, too confident. “Mason will see what he lost. He’ll regret every decision he ever made that didn’t include you.” I hesitate. “Why Mason?” Raphael leans closer, his lips almost brushing my ear. His voice is velvet, but it coil

Caleb's POV The run back to Blood-Howl nearly tears me apart. Fenric howls the entire way, a sound that rattles in my bones, sharp and desperate. The rhythm of his paws striking the earth is uneven, like even he can’t decide if he wants to keep moving forward or turn back to her. Every mile feels like betrayal, every breath like fire. When the familiar treeline rises in the distance, I nearly stumble. The scent of home, pine, smoke, the faint musk of wolves, rushes into me, but it feels wrong, like I don’t belong here anymore. My wolf quiets only for a moment, then lets out another mournful sound that echoes inside me. 'We left her.' “I know.” 'We should go back.' “I can’t.” 'She’s ours.' “She doesn’t remember us.” I say. Silence falls after that, but it’s not peace. Fenric retreats to the edges of my mind, pacing endlessly, growling low, a beast in a cage. Duty, that’s all I have left. The days blur together in a haze of sweat, steel, and commands. I train t

  • Alpha's Mistress and the Beta   76. One last look.

Caleb’s POV Her voice cuts through me like a blade. “Why does it hurt to see you like this?” For a second, I think I’ve imagined it. That my grief has finally twisted into madness, whispering her voice into my ears to torment me. But then I lift my head, and she’s there. She stands only a few feet away, the damp strands of her hair clinging to her face, Raphael’s shirt hanging loose on her body. The sight rips through me like claws. It should be my shirt on her. She should be in my arms, where she belongs. But she’s here, looking at me, her voice soft, confused… and she doesn’t remember. My chest constricts and my throat tightens so badly I can barely breathe. “Raven…” Her name scrapes out of me in a broken whisper. Just saying it nearly undoes me. I have never loved a woman as I love her, and I think I’m being punished for all the hearts I broke. I never imagined it could be this painful. She tilts her head, studying me, her eyes glistening with uncertainty, but I see i
