Chapter 2

~At the wedding

The home was exquisitely adorned. Alpha Conard had overseen all of the wedding decorations. The hall was adorned with flowers, white lilies and pink roses. The centerpiece of the celebration was a brilliant shimmering extravagant chandelier. Everything was adorned so beautifully and seemed so extravagant.

It was the pinnacle of perfection.

Alpha Conard looked great dressed stylishly in a black Armani suit. He was casually speaking with his friends, but his attention was fixed on the top of the stairs, eagerly waiting for her.

The hall was silent all of a sudden. Alpha Conard' eyes twinkled with love and happiness.

There he saw a beautiful angel gently descending the steps, looking exquisite in her bridal gown. Her beauty took his breath away and held him entranced. He felt his breath was getting heavy. His eyes become a mixture of red and black.

 She was anxiously glancing down. He then approached her and offered his hand to her.

He sniffed her and the reality made him shocked.

“Mate.” He whispered. She was his fated mate. His face was getting dark. This can’t be happen.

How can a girl be the mate of two brothers?

He just wanted to keep her save. What if his brother wakes up from coma and asked about her?

Can he refuse?

Will he still be able to survive this revenge?

Will he able to break this mate pull?

The world of his heard changed.  Without knowing it, as usual, seeing him had made her forget everything, including Albert's departure from the scene.

She was content without knowing what the future held in store for her.

Albert’s P.O.V.

Today was the marriage of Alex. The evening was very heavy and cold. It seemed as if everything in the universe was mourning the marriage, as if every particle of the world was sad.

The night was getting dark and the moment was passing by, but it seemed to me as if tonight had stopped, time had stopped for me, time had dilated as if time was not passing at all.

Alex was my childhood friend. I had feelings for her but she didn’t know. Uncle Jane said that he wants her to marry me but his wish can’t be fulfilled.

I remember the day she expressed her love to me. She loved Alpha Conard, who did not know him, he was a powerful Alpha. I listened to everything with great restraint and then as always I did what she wanted. I fulfilled her wish and today I lost myself. Holding the glass, I was in the final stages of seizure. Some accidents happen in a person's life in such a way that he cannot forget them even if he wants to.

"Alex, you promised me that you will be always with me, you will always stay because you are my best buddy, and you will never go away from me."

A half-piece of a forgotten memory waved on the screen of my mind and so I laughed with agony, but along with the laughter, tears flowed from my eyes.

"You have no idea how much you lie, you don't realize how much I love you, why are you so ignorant?"

Scratching my hair, I was not in my senses at that time.

"How much I take care of you, don't I? But how could you do this?"

"No, you couldn't keep your promise. You broke your promise. You are against your promise."

While shouting, I picked up the framed picture of Alex and threw it on the wall in front. The glass of the picture broke and scattered on the carpet. I was startled by the sound of the glass breaking and quickly reached the picture with the broken frame.

"What is it? Did I hurt my Alex? How can I do this?"

Speaking with a strange frenzy, I was separating the pieces of broken glass from picture with both hands, during which I did not know how many pieces of glass had injured my hands, the blood was flowing from my hands and getting absorbed into the carpet, but this Unbeknownst to me, I was constantly muttering and clearing the picture. At that moment, I was not Albert knight who had a sober personality, but was a madman who had lost his sense.

Today I lost her; this was the biggest loss of my life.
