Trapped

Author: Alyssa H.
(Audrey's POV)

My heart pounded against my ribs like a caged bird desperate to escape. Nathan's words echoed in my mind, each revelation more horrifying than the last. I forced myself to breathe steadily, maintaining an outward appearance of calm while my survival instincts screamed at me to run.

But there was nowhere to go. The lodge felt like a tomb, and Nathan stood between me and the only exit I could see.

"What about the results of Lyra and my mother's blood test?" I asked, my voice surprisingly steady despite the terror coursing through my veins. "Did you orchestrate that too?"

Nathan's smile sent ice through my bloodstream. It was a look I had never seen on his face before - predatory, satisfied, completely devoid of the warmth I had associated with him for so long.

"Of course," he said, as if discussing the weather. "I had to ensure that fake daughter remained in position long enough to serve my purposes."

My stomach lurched. "You manipulated medical testing?"

"It wasn't

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   Domestic Bliss

(Audrey's POV)The morning sun streamed through our territory den's windows as I carefully measured healing herbs into precise portions. Six months into our mating bond, I had discovered something unexpected. The greatest joy wasn't in grand romantic gestures or dramatic declarations of love. It was in the simple daily rhythms of life with Florian."Morning consultations at Winter's Remedy today?" Florian asked as he entered the kitchen, already dressed in his business attire."Three pack members with chronic pain issues," I replied, not looking up from my work. "Then I promised to check on Grandmother Shadowcrest this afternoon.""Her recovery has been remarkable since you started visiting regularly."I smiled, finally meeting his golden eyes. "She says having family close gives her strength to fight the weakness in her bones."Florian moved behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist as he watched me work. His familiar warmth made me lean back against his chest automatically.

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   Full Circle

(Third-person's POV)The autumn moon hung full and radiant above the newly constructed auditorium by the river's edge. This location held profound significance - it was where Serena and Florian had played as children, where their bond first formed decades ago.Elder Shadowcrest stood at the ceremonial altar despite her advanced age and frail health. Her weathered hands trembled slightly as she held the ancient mating ceremony texts, but her voice remained strong and clear."I am Serena's grandmother," she had insisted when the venue was being planned. "I failed to protect her when she needed me most, keeping her back in the day but unable to shield her from harm. Let me at least witness her proper mating today."The conspicuous absence of the current Shadowcrest Alpha and his mate spoke volumes about the family's internal divisions. But Elder Shadowcrest had come prepared, bringing a collection of rare healing stones as her blessed gift to the couple."These stones have been bless

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   New Beginnings

(Audrey's POV)The morning sun filtered through the delicate lace curtains of my new bedroom, casting dancing patterns across the polished wooden floors. Three months had passed since Nathan's trial, and I still sometimes couldn't believe this was real. This territory den belonged to me now. To my mother and me.I stood at the window overlooking our private garden, watching the early morning light illuminate the carefully tended flower beds and stone pathways. Yvette had worked with the territory architects to create something truly special - a home that honored both our individual needs and our newfound relationship as mother and daughter. The healing wing where I conducted my practice sessions was modern and efficient, equipped with the finest werewolf medical technology available. But the main living areas retained traditional pack elements that made Yvette comfortable when she entertained her political contacts. For the first time in my life, I truly felt like I had a family h

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   Justice Served

(Third-Person POV)The Pack Council's grand courtroom had never seen such a momentous trial. Carved stone walls that had witnessed centuries of werewolf justice seemed to lean inward, as if the very building understood the gravity of what was unfolding within.Nathan Snowfang sat in the defendant's chair, silver restraints gleaming around his wrists and ankles. His blue eyes, once warm with false affection, now burned with unrepentant obsession. He showed no shame, no remorse for the destruction he had caused. The evidence against him was overwhelming. Communication logs detailing his manipulation schemes covered three large tables. Testimony from victims stretched across days of proceedings. Text messages, financial records, medical falsifications - every piece of Nathan's carefully constructed web of lies was laid bare for the court to examine."The defendant orchestrated a systematic campaign of psychological manipulation spanning multiple years," the prosecutor declared, his vo

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   Aftermath

(Yvette's POV)The sterile scent of wolfsbane and healing herbs filled the Wolf Medical Center's waiting area. I paced the polished floors like a caged animal, my heart hammering against my ribs with each passing minute. My daughter was somewhere behind those heavy doors. My child, who I had searched for relentlessly for over two decades, was being treated for injuries sustained in a battle that should never have happened. The thought of losing her again, so soon after our reunion, made my wolf howl with anguish."Luna Riverwind?" A healer in pristine white robes emerged from the treatment area. "Your daughter is stable. Minor silver burns on her wrists and some bruising, but nothing that won't heal completely."Relief flooded through me so powerfully that I had to grip the nearest chair to keep from collapsing. "Can I see her?""Of course. She's in room three with Alpha Stormhowl."I rushed down the hallway, my elegant heels clicking urgently against the tiles. Through the part

  • Alpha's Regret After His Pregnant Luna Left   Sacrifice and Sorrow

(Arthur's POV)The cold stone floor of the lodge pressed against my back like a grave marker. I could feel the silver burning through my chest with each labored breath, spreading its poison through my bloodstream like liquid fire.Six holes. Six pieces of silver embedded in my torso. Each one designed to kill werewolves efficiently. But I wasn't thinking about the pain. I wasn't thinking about death approaching on silent paws. All I could see was Audrey's face above me, her emerald eyes wide with shock and terror. The irony wasn't lost on me. For three years, I had tried to control her, possess her, bend her to my will. And now, in my final moments, I was finally doing something purely selfless for her."Audrey," I gasped, reaching toward her with a hand that felt impossibly heavy. "I'm sorry... for everything."My voice came out as barely a whisper. Each word cost me precious breath I didn't have to spare. But these words needed to be said. They should have been said years ago.
