Mag-log inOlivia’s PoV
Vivian's words still rang in my ears. She had been Damian’s girlfriend. Had Damian betrayed me with her? Had he been faking love and caring for me all along? It all makes sense now. How he sacrificed her wolf all for Vivian’s sake without a second thought. I lay on my bed and even though I thought I had no more tears to shed, my pillow was instantly soaked. Soon, I fell asleep once again, feeling weak and desolate. “Luna your meal.” An omega entered with a trade of steaming food after knocking softly. I sat up and noticed the look of pity she gave me. This is what Damian has turned me into, a pitiful Luna. “Thank you, Marie. You can leave it on the table.” She placed the trade on the coffee table next to the small armchair but did not leave. “Do you want something, Marie?” She fidgeted a little before she spoke nervously. “Luna, Alpha was going to bring your meal, but Ms. Vivian suddenly fell ill, and Alpha rushed her to the pack’s hospital.” I scoffed inwardly, of course. Damian already made it clear that to him, Vivian is more important than his own wife. “Thank you, Marie. You may go back; I will call you if I need you.” I dismissed her, not wanting to talk about Damian. I sat on the armchair and after managing a few bites my hand felt weak and my spoon fell to the floor. A laugh that ended in a sob escaped me. Here I was, unable even to eat properly and my mate was taking care of another woman. Later that night as I sat in the living room, refusing to drown in my pain and self-pity, Damian came back. After hours of being with Vivian at her beck and call and not a single call or text to me. If it were the old me, I would have rushed to meet him already. I would have asked him about his day as I took his jacket off and handed him slippers. His favorite dishes would have been scattered on the table and my whole face would have lit up at the slightest compliment from him. “Olivia? Why are you in the dark?” Damian approached me, without turning the lights on. He could see perfectly fine in the dark, but not me without my wolf. “It was too much effort to get up just for that,” I answered already standing up to leave. “Let me help you.” He said gently, trying to pick me up in his arms. I froze slightly pushing away. “Let me get used to my new situation Damian. You are barely around and can’t help me all the time.” I said sharply. “Olivia, you sound different.” He turned the lights on and looked at me with a flicker of guilt “This is just temporary. Remember? In a few months, everything will be the way it was before.” Oh, Damian, nothing will ever be the same again. “This is hard on both of us Olivia. Don’t think I like to see you like this.” I scoffed. Hard on him too? The audacity. He cupped my face trying to kiss me, but Vivian’s strong perfume still clung to his clothes. It almost made me wretch. “What’s wrong?” Damian asked, taken aback. “Damian, you and Vivian… Is it true that she was your girlfriend before she was mated to your brother?” My eyes locked with his, but he averted his gaze quickly. “Who told you that?” He arched a brow. “We were teenagers, it wasn’t that deep. Don’t overthink it.” He reassured me gently. “Shouldn’t I? Lately you have spent so much time with her. Who’s to say you have not rekindled the romance?” I replied, my eyes never left his. I could feel his aura rising. “Olivia, seriously?! It’s my brother’s mate who you’re talking about.” He raised his hands in frustration. Then he grabbed me by the shoulders leaning towards me and spoke gently. “We broke up ages ago. As soon as she and my brother discovered they were mates she chose him without a blink and I never thought about her other than my sister-in-law ever since then. In fact, if something had happened between Vivian and me, you would have felt it.” He spoke almost in a whisper, trying to soothe my emotions, but it was what he said about me being able to feel his betrayal of our mate bond that drove a knife through my chest, opening this unhealing wound. How can I have felt if I don’t have a wolf anymore? My Vanilla is gone and the pain of her absence is agonizing. How can he forget what this curse caused me? “Now be a good girl and let me take you to our room.” Already tired of arguing I let him carry me, while he kept talking. “My mate is so silly. How can you even entertain that idea? You know better than anyone how much I respected my brother. I would never get involved with Vivian. Stop spinning crazy ideas inside your pretty head.” He left me on the bed while he went to shower. Honestly, whether he and Vivian are together or not, I should not care anymore. Soon I will be gone, and Damian will be free to do whatever he wants. As for this baby and me, he will never see us in this life again. Suddenly, as if my baby felt my conflicting emotions, a sharp pain in my stomach made me double over in pain when Damian was showering. Cold sweat drenched my face, but luckily, it subsided quickly. I slowly took out my pajamas from the dresser and put them on the bed. Just at that time, my phone rang. My brother! I peered at the bathroom. Damian was still showering. Luckily he likes to take long ones. I had time to talk to Stephen “Stephen!” I choked a sob. “Olivia! Are you alright? Sorry, I missed your call.” Just hearing his voice brought tears like waterfalls down my face. I told him everything and his furious roar vibrated through the phone. “The war is over, as soon as I finish wrapping up everything here, I will go to pick you up right away. I will be there in no more than a month, and Olivia… He will pay.” He was seething. Just as I hung up, Damian came out of the shower. “Who were you talking to?” He said in a jealous tone.Olivia’s PoV Damian stood by the door. I could feel his wolf’s aura radiating possessiveness. If only I could mind-link him, I’m sure he does not agree with what Damian did to Vanilla. He was always so gentle to both of us. “I was talking to Adam, your brother’s ex Beta.” After his sister Katherine became Damian’s Beta, Adam moved to the Crow Pack where he is the Beta now. Damian scoffed, he and Adam didn’t have a good relationship, so I’m not worried about Damian discovering my lie. “What does that fucker want? He shouldn’t be calling someone else’s wife this late.” He said disdainfully. He had never liked me being friends with Adam or any man for that matter. He does not love me, but he has always been possessive of me. I scoffed, to him I’m just a possession, nothing else. I can’t believe how well he fooled me all this time. “He just came back from vacation and couldn’t get a hold of Katherine. He was asking me about her, and he invited me to his welcoming party.” Damian se

Damian’s PoV I was trying to catch up with some work at my office. The Vivian issue had made it almost impossible for me to do anything else, keeping me away from my businesses and Olivia. A knock followed by someone opening the door made me look up from the files I was reading. “Damian, here you are. Already buried in paperwork. Have you seen the day outside is beautiful? You should come with me for a walk.” Vivian strode in with her chirpy personality. She looked renewed, a far cry from the suicidal woman she was just yesterday. But this energy and glow belonged to Olivia. “Should you be out and about already?” I asked with concern. Her pup must live. He or she will be the continuation of my brother’s bloodline. “Oh, Damian. I feel wonderful! And it’s all thanks to you.” She leaned down, tracing a finger up my arm as she stood, way too close to me. Annoyance coiled in my chest as I grabbed her hand taking it off me. “Enough, with your little hints, Vivian! You’re my brot
Olivia’s PoV. The next morning, I woke up first. Damian was still holding me in his arms. Unable to push him, I stare into space at the first rays of light drifting through the curtains. Then I felt him stirring. I did not want to talk to him, so I pretended to be asleep. He had shattered all my expectations and there was truly nothing left to talk about between us anymore. My heart pounded, but I kept my breathing steady until I heard the shower running. Damian quietly left the room after showering, still thinking I was asleep. Only then did I breathe out and get up. My heart ached. My chest fell hollow. I tried to reach Vanilla again, to no avail. She was truly gone. The hollow void in my chest felt even bigger now. I’ll figure it out Vanilla. I will. I held to that frail hope. It took me tremendous effort to shower and change. It was also an ordeal to get dressed, but I managed without help. I still wanted to hold to that bit of dignity I had left, now that Damian has tak
Olivia’s PoV. After I drifted back to sorrowful and painful sleep. I didn’t know for how long, until I was awakened by Dr. Chloe. I opened my eyes to find her next to me. "Luna Olivia, how are you feeling?" She asked gently, but with the same pitiful look as Katherine’s. Goddess. "Worse than I look," I answered. My throat was parched and I felt so frail. I felt ancient. My body already felt as if it were withering by the minute, shriveling from the inside out without Vanilla to sustain me. Vanilla, my heart squeezed every time I thought of her. The hollow pain in my chest was unbearable. Each breath came weaker than the last, and even the simple act of existing was agony. Dr. Chloe looked nervous. "Luna, you need to talk to Alpha Damien. Your results came in... you're pregnant." She whispered nervously. Everyone was afraid of Damian somehow. The words took the air out of my lungs. For a fleeting moment, warmth bloomed in my chest—hope, joy, life. But just as quickly, the

My chest rose and fell rapidly, the look of horror on my face must have alerted Damian.“Shh, calm down, Olivia.” He squeezed my hand and kept stroking my shoulders, trying to sooth me. It didn't work for me. I frown
