LOGINDamian’s PoV
I was trying to catch up with some work at my office. The Vivian issue had made it almost impossible for me to do anything else, keeping me away from my businesses and Olivia. A knock followed by someone opening the door made me look up from the files I was reading. “Damian, here you are. Already buried in paperwork. Have you seen the day outside is beautiful? You should come with me for a walk.” Vivian strode in with her chirpy personality. She looked renewed, a far cry from the suicidal woman she was just yesterday. But this energy and glow belonged to Olivia. “Should you be out and about already?” I asked with concern. Her pup must live. He or she will be the continuation of my brother’s bloodline. “Oh, Damian. I feel wonderful! And it’s all thanks to you.” She leaned down, tracing a finger up my arm as she stood, way too close to me. Annoyance coiled in my chest as I grabbed her hand taking it off me. “Enough, with your little hints, Vivian! You’re my brother’s widow and you’re carrying his child. Do not confuse my kindness with something else. Everything I’ve done for you is for my brother, because it's thanks to him that I’m alive, and it's only because of his past injury that I’m Alpha.” “He was next in line to be Alpha. Levi was an excellent and strong warrior who had always been my role model. Unfortunately, during a rogue wolf attack, Levi bravely protected the pack and led it to victory. He was injured, and everyone thought he would recover quickly, given the remarkable healing abilities of werewolves, especially Alphas. However, he continued to weaken day by day. But you already knew this.” I spat. The pack doctor diagnosed Levi with some kind of brain damage. The doctor tried various methods, but none worked. Then, a painful truth emerged: Levi, the Alpha heir, was no longer capable of fulfilling the position. That’s when I rose. “I took on the mantle of Alpha, inherited the Alpha title, and led the pack to greater strength. But this change did not sour our relationship. Levi was not a petty man; he always loved and supported me.” I will not tolerate this behavior, Vivian. We have a spat, but it all ended the day you and my brother discovered that you were fated mates.” “I know Damian and I loved your brother, dearly. I don’t know what came over me. I’m just so afraid. I feel alone and the pregnancy is making me feel vulnerable. What if I lose you and my pup and I am left unprotected?” She sobbed. Her shoulders started to shake as she buried her face in her hands. I quickly wrapped a protective arm around her. “Vivian do not worry about this; I will take good care of you and your child. Have I not announced that your child will be the next Alpha?” Vivian bit her lip, and between sniffles said; “Olivia will never allow it.” “Olivia is kind and understanding. Do not go and bother her with this. This is my decision.” I had received a mindlink that Vivian had visited Olivia. I don’t know how much Vivian let Olivia know already, but I’m sure Vivian wouldn’t be unkind to her, after all, Olivia had nearly sacrificed her life for her. Olivia needs rest now. Vivian should be grateful for her sacrifice. My sweet Olivia. She is so understanding. I know that she will always support me. Once Vivian's child is born in a few months, and the spell is lifted, Olivia and I could immediately try for our own child. I smile just imagining her with my pup in her arms. She will be a wonderful mom, sweet and caring. We have our whole lives ahead and I will make it up to her. “You are right Damian, but please. Let me stay here and help you take care of Olivia, after all me my pup and I owe our lives to her.” She looked at me with pitiful eyes. “There it is the understanding shewolf I know.” I chuckled. “I will have to ask Olivia about that. She likes her space and privacy. You can stay and eat with us today and we can run it by her together.” I said, bumping her nose with my finger. She smiled widely as she clapped with excitement. “Let’s take a walk through the gardens then,” I said, offering her my arm, and she linked hers immediately to mine. When we stepped outside the day was indeed beautiful. Not cold and not too hot. It was sunny and bright. Olivia would have loved it too, but I don’t think she wants to be seen in her state right now. “I’m so hungry Levi. This baby is always making me hungry. You must order the kitchen to make all my favorite dishes today and please tell them I want nothing sweet and sour or with veggies, the baby doesn’t like them, and it makes me nauseous. “Alright,” I said absentmindedly. I told an omega who was close by to take note of Vivian’s preferences, anything for my brother’s pup. When we finally came back to the house, Vivian’s laughter filled the halls. She was carrying a bouquet that she had me pick for her. We found Olivia already sitting at the table, my heart squeezed as I saw her pale complexion, but I breathed in. She was strong, after Vivian’s pup is born I will take her far away for our long-overdue honeymoon and I will treat her like a queen. “Olivia, have you been waiting for long?” Vivian asks with concern. “Time flew by, Damian and I were reminiscing about old times, when we were younger.” She gave me a complicitous look. “Look, we brought you flowers?” She said extending the bouquet that was clearly hers. “There was no need.” She said starting to sneeze that’s when I remember she was allergic to them and I snatched the bouquet from Vivian giving it an Omega. “Take this out of the house immediately.” We sat at the table and started to eat, but while Vivian started gushing and moaning about how everything was so good, Olivia was not eating anything. “Olivia, are you not hungry?” I asked gently. She looked at me with eyes full of sadness. “These are all Vivian’s favorite dishes but none of mine. I have no appetite, anyway. I will eat later.” My heart plummeted and I felt like tearing apart everyone in the kitchen. As Olivia left with small steps to her room I started yelling to the omegas, “Must I spell everything for you?! Why didn’t you prepare none of Luna’s usual meals?” “But Alpha, Ms. Vivian said that those dishes make her nauseous and you said…” “Enough!! Make something quick and I’ll take it to her room. Now!” As the kitchen rushed to make something for Olivia, Vivian started complaining about stomach cramps. “Damian, it hurts! My baby!” She cried. “Fuck Vivian! Let me take you to the hospital!” And I rushed out with her in my arms. I will come back to Olivia as soon as Vivian is safe.Olivia’s PoV Vivian was almost hyperventilating when she planted herself between the Delta warrior and Ashley, who looked at Vivian weakly. Damian growled, angrily. “Stay away from this Vivian! This doesn’t concern you. Derek, take my brother’s wife back to her place.” Damian ordered the other Delta warrior as he waved Vivian dismissively, but Vivian was not one to back down easily. She approached Damian with a pleading look. “Damian, whatever she did, forgive her please. Do it for me. She has been very helpful to me during this time.” She gave Damian a meaningful look as she rubbed her slightly grown stomach. Damian seemed to realize something and ordered the Delta to stop. “Take that eye sore to the pack’s hospital.” He growled not even bothering to look at the broken Ashley. I let out a breath of relief when the Delta carried her out of the dungeons. Thankfully Vivian arrived on time. I can’t believe I’m thankful that my husband’s ex-girlfriend managed to stop the punishm
Olivia’s PoV Damian’s face turned cold as he gave Ashley a menacing glare. Ashley stood there acting like a pathetic weakling. She was such a good actress; if I hadn’t seen her true colors before, I would have pitied her. “Your Luna asked you a question, woman. Answer her!!” Damian ordered her. He stood there radiating Alpha dominance. Ashley immediately cowered. I truly believe she fears him somehow. She looked at me but quickly lowered her head, as she spoke in a humble tone. “Luna… I was tidying up the sofa earlier and one must have fallen on accident. It won’t happen again.” She stammered and looked at me once again to see if I believed her lies. “Is this what you call tidying up?” I scoffed as I pulled a pair of purple panties from behind the cushion holding it up with a pen and dropping them on the floor quickly, feeling my guts revolt. It was when I came back downstairs again that I found the offending garment sticking out from under the couch. They did it here, in m
. Damian's PoV Contrary to my better judgment, when Olivia asked me to bring Ashley with me, I didn’t hesitate. I’ve been driving myself up the walls unable to touch Olivia. I need to quench my desires somehow and she handed me the best opportunity. Ashley was straddling me on the floor, when I remembered to check the time. “Fuck!” I looked at my watch pushing Ashley away. It’s almost six, Olivia must be on her way by now. “Alpha, what happened?” A startled Ashley asked as she picked her clothes from the floor. “Why didn’t you remind me of the time?” I said icily. “I… I lost track of time too.” She said meekly as she blushed. I did not miss the small smug look on her face, even if it was fleeting. I gave her a cold glare. “Don’t ever think this is more than a convenient fuck, witch. You’re easy and available as well as good at what you do. Once my Luna recovers from the curse, you will go back to getting scraps.” She nodded, lowering her head. “Yes, Alpha.” She
Olivia’s PoV It didn’t take long for Damian to leave. This gathering is not his usual idea of fun. I was sitting alone as Katherine and Mrs. Agatha were still bringing out food from the kitchen. “Olivia, I have something important to deal with. It’s time to go back.” My eyes snapped onto him. I didn’t want to leave so soon. “Damian, I want to stay a little longer. Let Katherine drive me back home.” I asked gently. “And take Ashley with you. I don’t need her.” Damian turned to look at Ashley who was standing expectantly not far from him. She had been looking uneasy after the dog incident. Damian’s eyes lingered a little too long on Ashley and to my surprise, he agreed to both things. “Fine, Katherine can drive you back. Don’t stay for long.” Damian said as he kissed my hand. “I will be home by six. Thank you, Damian.” He nodded and turned to leave. Ashley walked hurriedly behind him looking nervously at her surroundings. She walked fast until she was very close to Damian.
Olivia’s PoV Three days later. These past few days. Everything has been fine. I have been resting at home, and I’m glad that, aside from feeling weak, I haven't experienced any pain. At least not physical, but every time I remember Vanilla, the void in my chest still suffocates me. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to her absence. Damian has been hovering over me like a mother hen. He got scared from the last time I got admitted to the hospital. He knows that if something happens to me, it would be the end of Vivian’s pup. I put a protective hand on my stomach. My own pup is at risk, too, and he is my only priority. I don’t wish anything bad for Vivian’s child, but why is he more important to Damian than his own child? Damian entered then with a plate of fruit. I was sitting on the balcony soaking in the sun rays. Watching the pack members going on about their lives like any other Tuesday. Whereas I lived in constant worry that Damian would discover I was pregnant and make m
Ashley's PoV I slipped out of Damian’s office like a shadow. I learned to become one when I was a slave in the black market. I had been whipped countless times just for simply existing, so I always tried to blend in, to become a shadow until it was engraved in my bones. Anything but being whipped, I hated it. My body shivered just thinking about it. I had resigned to that miserable life, where pain and hunger were my daily constant. Until he came. My Damian, my savior. When he bought me, he gave me a place to stay, and he made me feel needed and cared for. He made me feel alive again. He says my whole purpose is to serve him but it’s not a job when I love doing that for him. The only obstacle to my complete happiness is Olivia. I had stepped on their wedding portrait on my way out, the one Damian threw earlier in a fit of rage, and it shattered. I giggled. I hate how Damian always defends that woman. He always belittles me for her. The sooner she gets out of the picture the
