Pack Wounds and Unspoken Truths

Author: Emily J.
**(Elara's POV)**

Amanda Reed lay on the treatment bed. Three stitches ran along her hairline. The silver thread caught the harsh lights.

"Does it still hurt?" I asked.

Amanda's eyes filled with tears. "Elara, you and Alpha Foster have been so kind. I don't deserve this."

Her voice shook with guilt. Something flickered in her eyes before she hid it.

"I haven't been honest," Amanda whispered. "I approached Alpha Foster with bad intentions. I used your kindness."

The confession didn't shock me. I'd worn that same desperate look when I first tried to get close to Lucian.

"Why?" I asked gently.

Amanda's hands twisted. "You should leave that job you mentioned. I worked at a bad place once. The pay looks good, but it destroys your wolf spirit."

Her tears flowed harder. "My grandfather is dying. He needs expensive treatment that costs thousands of hunting rights certificates."

She looked up desperately. "Diana Reed controls his medical care. If I don't do what she says, she'll let h

  • Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother   Pack Bonds and Shattered Glass

**(Rachel's POV)**The crystal wine glass exploded against the marble wall of my private den, sending shards cascading across the polished floor like fallen stars. The sound was satisfying, momentarily drowning out the chaos in my head.Without thinking, I grabbed another glass from the bar and hurled it with all my strength. Then another. And another."Alpha Woods!" My pack healer called from the doorway, alarmed by the sounds of destruction."Get out!" I snarled, not even looking at her.The crystal chandelier reflected my rage in a thousand fractured pieces as I continued my rampage. Decanters, wine glasses, even the expensive moonstone figurines Harold had given me - everything became ammunition for my fury. When I finally ran out of things to throw, I stood panting in the center of the devastation. Glass covered every surface, glinting dangerously in the dim light.I walked forward without thought, my bare paws crunching through the sharp fragments. The pain was immediate a

  • Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother   Pack Revelations and Old Wounds

**(Elara's POV)**James Foster's luxury SUV pulled up to my rented den in neutral territory with an aggressive purr of the engine. I could see his sour expression through the tinted windows as he waited for me to exit."Thank you for driving me, Alpha Foster," I said awkwardly as I stepped out onto the cracked pavement.James rolled down his window, his eyes scanning the shabby buildings around us with obvious disgust. "Look at this place, Elara. You're living in territory-less omega housing."His voice carried that familiar tone of superiority that always made my hackles rise."Maybe you shouldn't be with Lucian if this is the best he can provide for you," he continued coldly.Anger flared in my chest. The audacity of this Alpha, judging our circumstances when he had no idea what we'd been through together."Alpha Foster," I said, my voice sharp with irritation, "if I secure the Silver Creek project successfully, will you help me acquire a proper territory?"James was quiet fo

  • Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother   Pack Rivals and Desperate Measures

**(James's POV)**I felt my blood pressure spike as Madeline Bell's poisonous words hung in the air between us. The audacity of this she-wolf trying to sow discord about Elara was beyond insulting."Stop right there," I said sharply, cutting off whatever else she planned to say. "Elara Rivers is one of the most honest wolves I've ever encountered. She only has Lucian Thorne in her heart."Madeline's eyes widened in surprise at my immediate defense."I don't know what kind of slanderous wolves you've been listening to," I continued, my voice growing more heated, "but I advise you to stay away from them. They're clearly feeding you lies."Julian appeared beside me, his expression darkening as he absorbed the conversation."If Damon Thorne dares to mess around with Elara," I said coldly, "I'll break his hunting limbs myself."Simon Foster emerged from the shadows, clearly having been eavesdropping. His eyes lit up with violent enthusiasm."Should Julian challenge Damon to a domina

**(Elara's POV)**I took a deep breath, composing myself before addressing the gathered wolves. The moonlight streaming through the venue's windows cast everything in silver, making this moment feel almost prophetic."You're absolutely right," I said, my voice carrying clearly across the space. "I am from humble beginnings. I spent years in the silver-laced containment facility."Madeline's eyes widened with surprise. She hadn't expected me to admit this so openly."I have no prestigious pack lineage, no inherited hunting territories, no family connections to speak of," I continued, meeting each gaze steadily. "Everything I have, I've earned through my own efforts."The wolves around us shifted uncomfortably. Some looked impressed by my honesty, others seemed uncertain how to react."But what I do have," I said, my voice growing stronger, "is the ability to secure major territory projects for Foster Pack Enterprises. Projects that have brought significant hunting rights and terri

  • Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother   Pack Confrontations and Territory Claims

**(Caleb's POV)**Rachel Woods stood rigid beside me, her eyes blazing as she stared down Amanda Reed."He has a she-wolf now," Rachel said coldly. "You should preserve your dignity and leave."I took Rachel's paw in mine, squeezing gently. Her fingers trembled with rage, but she squeezed back.Amanda's eyes filled with tears. "Caleb... do you truly have no feelings for me? Did our years together mean nothing?"Her voice broke. I felt an old pang in my chest but remained silent."This is moral blackmail," Rachel snapped. "You abandoned him years ago. You don't get to demand his loyalty now.""You don't understand!" Amanda cried. "Caleb never asked why I left! He never wanted the truth!"She turned to me directly. "I was forced to leave you. They made me sever our bond. I had no choice!"I looked at her in surprise. This was the first time she'd hinted at being coerced.Rachel tugged my arm, giving me a sharp look that said she didn't want me hearing Amanda's excuses."Regard

  • Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother   Pack Bonds and Unexpected Reunions

**(Caleb's POV)**I drove frantically through Ocean City territory, my heart racing. Rachel had vanished, and I had no idea where to find her. After searching everywhere I could think of, I pulled up to her estate. Daniel stood guard at the entrance, his face grim."Has she returned?" I asked, jumping out of my SUV.Daniel shook his head. "Alpha Woods hasn't come back. She left two hours ago, driving fast."I cursed and ran my hands through my hair. Emma's return had destroyed everything. Now I might lose Rachel forever."Any idea where she'd go?" I pressed.Daniel's expression stayed neutral. "Alpha Woods keeps secrets. But when upset, she visits places that remind her of better times."I nodded and got back in my vehicle. For thirty minutes, I searched everywhere. The café where we first talked. The park where I saved her from rogues. The shopping district she loved.Nothing. No sign of her anywhere.Leaning against my SUV, I realized how little I knew about Rachel Woods. W
