LOGINSonya~
Two hours passed, and I was unable to get out of my room. I tried to take heart, to remind myself that Seth never loved me a bit, but the pain was so intense that my wolf had crawled into my mind in depression.
How would I now let him know I was bearing his pup? Does someone like him even deserve to father my pup? If he came to know, he could take away the pup from me after childbirth, and I couldn't stand not being in the life of my pup.
The more I tried to put myself together, I felt the pieces of my heart were being taken away from me, leaving me with nothing. Was I that inferior and unworthy, and the moon goddess bound us as fated mates? It could have been better if he had rejected me, but because that was impossible, he chose to hurt me this way.
I stayed indoors, not even thinking of getting out of the room, no appetite either. I just wished everything could be a dream; I really hoped so.
By the time the sun set, my temperature was high, my skin was burning hot, so I ate something and took medicine to stop the fever I had developed in a few hours.
After a bath, I was dressing up when the doorbell of my room rang, and it was pulled open. Alpha Seth walked in with the lady, his expression blank, and the lady wore that mischievous smile. I knew someone who came to visit wouldn't have all those boxes, and my father-in-law had shown me all the royal family, so she wasn't in the photos.
He cleared his throat, “Sonya, this is Neve, and she will be staying with us in the palace for now.”
“For now? Why is that?” Neve asked sharply, her brows furrowed.
Seth smiled at her, a smile I had never gotten in our two years of marriage. “Please prepare a room for her before I give further instructions…and treat her well, too.”
Huh? He didn't even mention the pregnancy to me, so was he planning to hide it from me? He was expecting me to take care of his mistress, the same me who had been deemed worthless?
“Also, have the chef make a good meal for her. You can introduce her to the chef, because she has her choice of meals.” Seth ordered further and then turned to Neve. “I hope you get along with her.”
She smiled sheepishly and nodded, “Of course, she's your Luna, and she looks nice.”
I felt a pang of pain in my chest, one that made me feel as though my heart would crawl out through my throat.
Seth turned around and left the room, while the lady stayed back. She darted her eyes around the room, her arms folded against her chest. “A nice room.”
“Aren't you leaving, too?” I said curtly, because I noticed my tear gland had nothing to offer anymore, so it wouldn't mess up before this bitch.
She raised her face to look me straight in the eyes, “Am I supposed to leave?”
My brows creased.
“This room will certainly be mine soon, so I should take a good look at it,” she stated, and I clenched my palms into a fist. “I have the right to walk in and leave as I want, so you calm down and let me take a look first.”
I bit my lower lip so hard, watching as she paraded around the room as though it were hers. If I tried to drag her out, wouldn't she want to hurt me? I didn't want anything that would make me lose my pup, and it should be kept to myself.
“There is a lot of irrelevant stuff here, so I would have the servants clear it up once I'm ready to grab the room. I should talk to Seth about it, because I would soon be his Luna since I'm the one bearing his pup, and you would be demoted to his mistress,” she said and slowly turned around, our eyes locked together, and her chin raised in a scoff. “Please don't burst. You turned red already,” she mocked and began reaching the door.
I kept gnashing my teeth, watching as she pulled the door open and walked out. A heavy breath escaped my throat, and I sought the sofa so I could sit before I lost my balance.
What was this supposed to be called? I didn't sign up for this when I became Seth's Luna.
How on earth was I supposed to stand some stranger barging into my bedroom and saying to my face all those? I would blame my mate for taking me for granted.
If he never loved me, then he could have just chosen another woman as his Luna on his coronation day and not me. I had endured him for two years, hoping for a change, but I couldn't withstand him shoving in my face a total stranger whom he impregnated, too.
“What do I do? I can't tell him I am pregnant.” I muttered, grabbing the side of my head in my palms. “Should I just leave? That's the only way to get out of this mess.”
But I had nothing in my name to sustain me. I was also scared that telling his dad would worsen things because he wouldn't want me leaving with the pup. So I was perplexed and didn't know how to make a decision. At least, I got shelter, clothing and food here without having to overthink. But all these were hurting my emotions, and I needed to be healthy to birth a healthy pup.
In addition, Seth didn't need to know I was bearing his pup. The moment I found out he was cheating, the love I had developed for him all melted like wax. It hurt so much, but being Luna to an infidel was one thing I couldn't bear.
For that, I began raking through the room gently so no one would know what I was planning if they walked in on me. Seth had ordered me from the start that I should never change the passcode of the room, or I would have done that right now, so that bitch wouldn't barge in here again.
I hid the pregnancy result first, because that was the biggest secret I was going to leave with. Then I started checking if there was something valuable I could sell to get the cash I would leave with.
The door suddenly creaked, and I slowly turned to see Neve standing some feet away from me, wearing a thick frown.
“Why is my room not prepared yet? You promised to do that, and also introduce me to the chef,” she roared, her palms transfixed on her waist.
It slipped my mind, but that shouldn't bring room for insult.
“Should I even be enraged like this? Who wouldn't know that a fat thing like you would be so lazy? That's why the Luna position doesn't suit you a bit. Now you get out there and prepare my room,” she snarled again, gesturing towards the door.
That order for me? If I tolerated Seth, not this bitch.
I kindly ignored her and went back to what I was doing.
“Sonya, are you deaf?” she growled and marched closer. “I didn't know omegas now have so much guts. Being Luna doesn't stop you from serving me, so you…
“You're distracting me. Can you just leave? Have one of the servants do it.” I snapped and shut the drawer forcefully, then moved to the wardrobe.
I had almost forgotten that she was in the room when an excruciating pain ran down from my skull to my spine. I whimpered, my wolf stirred from the pull on my hair, and then I forcefully nudged her away from me, taking her unaware, and she stumbled backwards and dropped to the floor.
The door flew open that moment, “Sonya, what's holding…
I came face to face with Seth, and he froze upon seeing Neve on the floor, groaning and her palm right at her belly.
“What did you do to her, Sonya?” Seth growled and reached out to the asshole on the floor. He raised her into his arms, his face darkened as he turned to me. “Sonya…
“She hurt me first, and I fought back.” I retorted and made a long face.
He glared at me with so much hatred, “And you pushed her down?”
“I did nothing to her, Seth. I only came to remind her of the room, and she pushed me down.” As expected, she lied, fake tears streaking down her face.
Anger boiled in me. This was actually the first time I got pissed at my mate. I'd always been the good Luna, tolerating every shit thrown at me.
“Just hope she isn't hurt, or you wouldn't like what I would do.” Seth snarled and left the room with his mistress in his arms.
I stood there, my clenched fist nowhere releasing, and the tears I didn't know gathered in my eyes rolled down.
That care; I never got it from him. He didn't even mind if I died when I was sick, but he just barged in here to defend his mistress and even take her for a checkup. What more reason did I need to know this place wasn't for me anymore?
What I hated most was that matebond cannot be broken. Not like he had marked me as his yet.
Alpha Seth~Drinking became nowhere interesting again, because each second, I was thinking about Sonya and didn't want to drift into another world. Sometimes, I wondered about the possible way of getting her back, then reminded myself that it was never going to be possible…not after everything I put her through.‘But at least, we are now sure that she is alive…’ my wolf purred, and I couldn't help smiling. ‘We'll surely have her back, but it will take like forever.’Who cared how long it would take? What mattered was that she survived out there and was looking healthy. I had gotten tired of blaming myself for the miscarriage that she had. It hurt so much, but I couldn't dwell on that for so long. If she didn't have a miscarriage, would the pup forgive his or her father for being away? Would Dax take her in and care for her and the pup? How would they be living to survive?Nicolas’ wolf whimpered from the corridor, diverting my attention, then he walked into my office. “Alpha, I got y
Sonya~The only way out was to tell him lies as usual, so I ran my fingers through his cheek, “Mummy had chocolate on the way back, so it could be what you're perceiving.”He frowned, “And you didn't get one for me?”“Even Dad had one…”“Get me mine. You know that I like chocolate.” he contorted his face, and I faked a smile.I nodded, “Once I get out there, I will remind Daddy to get yours if he ever leaves the palace.”His face lit up in smiles once again, “Thank you, mummy. I love you ooo.”“I love you too, baby.” I spread my arms, and he embraced me tightly once again. Only then did I realise that I had tears in my eyes, so I just tried as much as I could to hold it back so I didn't have Kaysen asking questions that would leave my lips hanging. “I need to get a bath, Kay. Mummy will be back soon.”He nodded and pulled away, then lay on the bed. “I might sleep off, but I will wait for you.”“Even if you sleep off, I will still come and check up on you when I'm done bathing.”“Mum,
Sonya~A day had already passed, yet I couldn't get my mind off how Seth was beaten up. Neither my wolf nor I could get it straight. The times I tried to calm myself and focus on the present, I felt my heart being ripped out of my chest as she flashed to my mind again how Dax didn't pull back when releasing those blows to his face.He didn't fight back, didn't retaliate when he could have. He looked so worn out as he was dragged out of the room by Dax, and I thought I could get over it, but it didn't work out like that. I wiped the tears that streaked down my face the fourth time, sniffed so hard and decided to wash up my face in the bathroom. I had been discharged and was waiting for Dax to show up so I could start heading back to the palace. Maybe when I got there, every scene that occurred in the hospital ward would stop replaying in my head. “That idiot—” I cursed and caught my breath. “We could have been couples if he wasn't my worst nightmare. I could have still been his Luna,
Alpha Seth~Tears welled in my eyes. My wolf went into distress upon hearing Sonya say that. A miscarriage—While I was wasting my time with Neve, my mate was alone, bearing the pains without me. I didn't even want to care if the pup was mine or not; what mattered here was that she passed through that hell under my roof, yet I didn't know.Or was it after she left? Whatever, but I just wished the moon goddess would give me a second chance to correct my mistakes, by either taking back the hand of the clock to the past, or by softening my mate's heart towards me. As her eyes shifted away from me, I gently turned around to meet Dax standing there. I didn't realise when the door made a sound, showing how lost I was. Upon locking eyes with Dax, he started to walk towards me, his palm clenched into a fist. His expression darkened, and he looked like a demon that moment. He reached me, and the first thing I got from him was a heavy hit on my cheek. I staggered backwards, holding my face
Sonya~My heart skipped a beat when he took a long step towards me. The space between us closed, and I nearly lost control of my legs. “Alpha…”“Stop claiming that you're Bella; you're Sonya, my mate, and there's no room for hiding,” he said, sounding mean. “I'd known that you never died. I had been searching for you all over since you left the palace. Did you have to do this to me? What is it about Dax that I don't have?”I nibbled my bottom lip, just trying to compose myself and not mess myself up by spilling out how heavy my heart was. I had a lot to tell him, but none of it went my way the way I wanted it. How he gazed at me straight in the eyes as if searching for the truth…I shook my head, “I hate this, alpha. And if you don't leave right away, I'll have to call on Dax.”“He has no right over you, because you're not his possession.”“It's none of your business if I'm marked or not. Can you leave? I'm grateful for your help, but that doesn't warrant you overstepping the line.”
Sonya~I walked to the door and unlocked it, creasing my brows intentionally when I saw Dax standing there. “Didn't you mention returning in the evening?” I said, widening the door so he could walk in. “I was doing my thing in the bathroom, so I locked the door to avoid someone intruding. I'm so careful these days.”He chuckled and sat down. “You did well. I was just worried if everything was okay with you.”“Uhm, what about what you left for? Has it been sorted?” I inquired, shifting my cell phone. I had kept the dashcam at the end of the wall so he didn't think that I had already touched it.He nodded, “My beta already sorted it out. But I forgot something. Did you see the dashcam? It should be here.”I rolled my eyes and pointed to the wall, “You mean that? I saw it on the floor, nearly stepped on it, and since I didn't understand what it was, I kept it there to show you when you return.”He stood and picked it up himself, then nodded, “This is a dashcam,” he said and smiled. “I ne
