Penelope’s POV

I stood at the front of the newly constructed training facility, studying the faces of thirty female werewolves who represented the future of pack defense.

They sat in neat rows on temporary benches, their ages ranging from sixteen to forty-five, drawn from a dozen different packs across our territory.

The younger women leaned forward with bright eyes and eager postures, their hands folded neatly in their laps as they waited for instruction, but the older participants told a different story entirely.

Three women in the back row whispered among themselves, their arms crossed defensively as they shot occasional glances toward me that bordered on hostile.

Lola Grey, a woman in her fourties from the Ridge Pack, raised her hand tentatively. “Commander, with respect, many of us have families to care for. How are we supposed to balance intensive training with our domestic responsibilities?”

Before I could respond, another voice cut through the air. Janet Stone from the Riverda

Penelope’s POV“The inspection is complete,” I announced, trying to keep my voice steady despite the chaos in my chest. “Thank you for the equipment donation.”“Actually, Alpha Dominic,” Nora said, stepping closer to him with that simpering smile, “I was hoping we could discuss something more personal.”My stomach clenched. Here it comes. My hands started to shake slightly. Three days of dealing with resistant women, questioning my authority, challenging every decision I made.Nora had been among the worst of them, constantly undermining me in front of the other trainees. And now she was practically throwing herself at Dominic right in front of everyone. My father’s jaw was tight. “This is neither the time nor place—”“Oh, I think it’s the perfect time,” Nora interrupted, moving even closer to Dominic. Her voice took on a flirtatious tone that made my skin crawl. “After all, when does a woman get the chance to meet such a distinguished Alpha?”“Nora, that’s enough,” I said firmly.Agai

Dominic's povThe moment we stepped inside the training facility, the noise hit me. Nearly thirty women engaged in various exercises, their voices mixing with the sound of wooden weapons clashing and feet moving on practice mats. The space was huge and well-designed, with high ceilings and excellent lighting.“This is the main training floor,” Penelope said in her professional voice. “We can accommodate multiple exercise groups simultaneously.”But I wasn’t really listening to her words. Her scent was overwhelming in the enclosed space. Pine and vanilla mixed with something wild and fierce that made my wolf pace frantically in my mind. The awakened bloodline had changed her, made her more than she’d been before.“Ice Cream Uncle,” Debbie said, tugging on my hand, “look at all the weapons!”She pointed toward an impressive display along the far wall. Swords, bows, daggers, and modern tactical equipment. Everything looked professional grade, not training toys.“Very impressive,” I said,

Dominic’s POV“Debbie, slow down,” Nathan called as his granddaughter dragged me toward the training facility. His voice carried a warning, but Debbie was too excited to notice.“You have to see the inside, Ice Cream Uncle,” she chattered. “Mommy made everything perfect for training. There’s weapon racks and practice mats and even a strategy room!”Nathan moved to walk beside us. “Debbie, maybe we should—”“Oh! And there’s this really cool obstacle course that’s almost finished,” Debbie continued, completely oblivious to the tension. “Mommy says it’ll help with agility training.”Through the large windows, I could see women training inside. Their movements were coordinated and skilled, but more importantly, I could see Penelope moving among them like a general commanding troops.“Is your mother in there now?” I asked.“Uh-huh,” Debbie nodded enthusiastically. “She’s always here these days. Grandma says she works too much, but mommy says the program is too important to do halfway.”Nath

  • Alpha's Regret: Return of the Rejected Mate   Chapter 119: Unwelcome Arrival

Dominic’s POVThe Iron Mountain Pack guards stepped out of their station when my convoy approached. Three men with rifles, all wearing the dark blue uniforms that meant serious business. They’d been notified and were expecting me, but that didn’t mean they were happy about it.“Alpha Dominic,” the lead guard said. His voice had no warmth. “The former Alpha Nathan is waiting for you at the main gate.”I pulled through the checkpoint and saw Nathan standing beside his truck. He wasn’t alone. Two of his senior pack members flanked him, both wearing grim expressions. This wasn’t a welcome committee. This was a warning.I stepped out of my vehicle and walked toward them. Nathan’s face was stone cold. His gray eyes held the kind of anger that had been building for years.“So,” Nathan said without any greeting. “You decided to show up on my territory after all.”“The council requires inter-pack cooperation,” I replied carefully. “My trucks are loaded with training equipment for Penelope’s pro

Dominic’s POVI stared at the laboratory report spread across my mahogany desk, the black ink seeming to burn permanent marks into my retinas. “99.97% probability of paternity.” The words might as well have been branded into my brain. This was the hundredth time I’d read those same results since leaving the hospital three days ago.My fingers traced the edges of the official letterhead. Debbie was mine. That fierce little girl with the red hair and Penelope’s stubborn look belonged to me. I knew the truth now, and it made me happy and hurt at the same time.I reached for my phone again, thumb hovering over Penelope’s contact. The screen showed three missed calls already today, all sent straight to voicemail without a single ring. She was avoiding me deliberately, probably having my number blocked entirely. My wolf snarled inside my mind, pacing restlessly behind my ribs. Claim them. Take what’s ours. Go to her now.“Shut up,” I muttered aloud, pressing my palms against my temples. The
