Dominic’s POV

I stood before my parents in the grand hall of our pack house, my head lowered. The huge stone fireplace roared behind them, making them look orange in its light. Old weapons and family crests hung on the walls.

My father sat in his large chair, looking at me with open disappointment. His fingers drummed on the armrest. I knew this was a sign of his irritation. My mother stood beside him, and her face was utterly blank. It gave nothing away.

“Didn’t you say before that you didn’t like Kelsey?” My father’s question hit like a slap. “How did you end up sleeping with her? Now she’s even pregnant with your child.”

I had no good answer. The truth was, I couldn’t remember that night at all. My mind was completely blank when I tried to recall it.

“I don’t know what happened,” I admitted, studying the pattern in the wooden floor. “My mind is blank. I remember drinking with her, but nothing after that.”

It was strange. I usually held my liquor well. Even on my worst nights, I neve

Well you should have treated her with the respect and love she deserved when you were with her. I’ve no sympathy for the mess you made but I hope he finds out kesley is lying and and he is Debbie dad. Hopefully he can find proof that Edward is a rogue.

Edward’s POVI followed Nathan into the dining room just as the remarkable scene unfolded before my eyes. Penelope stood near the table, holding her left wrist out for examination.“What happened?” I asked, stepping closer to the small group gathered around her.“Debbie accidentally bumped into me while I was carrying hot soup,” Penelope explained, rotating her wrist to show all sides. “It splashed everywhere and burned me badly. The skin turned bright red and started swelling immediately.”“But look at it now,” Nathan said, his voice filled with wonder. He gestured toward her unmarked arm. “Completely healed.”I moved closer, genuinely fascinated despite my underlying panic. “May I see?”Penelope extended her arm toward me. I examined the smooth skin carefully, running my fingers lightly over where the burn should have been. No redness, no swelling, no trace of injury. The healing was absolutely perfect.“Incredible,” I murmured. “How do you feel? Any lingering pain or discomfort?”“N

Penelope’s POVI slowly opened my eyes, my vision gradually focusing on the worried face hovering above me. Debbie’s tear-streaked cheeks came into view, her green eyes red and puffy from crying.“Mommy!” she sobbed, throwing herself into my arms. Her small body trembled against mine as fresh tears soaked through my nightgown. “I thought I would never see you again!”My arms wrapped around her automatically, pulling her close. “I’m here, baby,” I whispered, my voice hoarse from my long sleep. “I’m right here.”“You wouldn’t wake up,” she cried into my shoulder. “No matter how loud I called your name, you just kept sleeping and sleeping.”I looked past Debbie’s red hair to see my father standing beside the bed. Relief and joy brightened his weathered features as he watched us embrace.“Welcome back,” he said warmly. “You’ve been sleeping for three days straight since awakening your bloodline that night.”Three days? It felt like I’d just closed my eyes after the ritual. My body ached fr

Dominic’s POV“Speaking of Kelsey,” Mom said, as if reading my thoughts, “how long are you planning to let this charade continue?”“What charade?”“This fake domesticity. You don’t love her, Dominic. Anyone with eyes can see that.”“She’s pregnant with my child.”“So she claims.”I stared at my mother. “What’s that supposed to mean?”“It means,” she said carefully, “that pregnant women have been known to lie about paternity before. Especially when they have something to gain.”“You think Kelsey would—”“I think Kelsey would do whatever it takes to become Luna of this pack,” Mom interrupted. “And I think you’re too honorable for your own good sometimes.”“You were the one who insisted I accept Kesley.”“That was before I saw Debbie making that gesture. I already suspected, but now…”I sank back into the sofa. “I don’t want to endure a second round of torment,” I said quietly. “Especially since Kelsey is already pregnant with my child. How could I face both women?”Mom leaned forward, he

Dominic’s POVI stared at the television screen, my mouth slightly open. What did my mother mean? Debbie stood in the center of the practice ring, both hands raised in victory. She crossed her arms over her chest, her ring and middle fingers bent naturally against her palms while her thumb, index finger, and little finger stretched out straight. The camera zoomed in on Debbie’s face as she held the pose. Her green eyes sparkled with pride, her red hair flying wildly in the air. The defeated teenager picked himself up off the ground behind her, shaking his head in disbelief.“I don’t remember making any special gesture,” I said slowly.“Oh, but you did!” Mom jumped up from the sofa, nearly knocking over her coffee cup. “I even gave it a name. I called it your ‘Victorious Little Wolf Paw.’ You were so proud every time you did it.”She hurried toward the bedroom, her slippers patting against the hardwood floor. “Wait right here. I’ll show you.”I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the screen

Dominic’s POVI stood in the doorway of what used to be my private bedroom, pressing my knuckles against my temple where a headache was building. The sight of Kelsey’s clothes in my room, her perfume bottles already lined up on my dresser, had made my stomach turn. What had I been thinking? When Penelope told me she was marrying Edward, when she looked me in the eyes and said she loved him now, I’d felt something break inside me. In my pain and anger, I’d agreed to let Kelsey move in, thinking it didn’t matter anymore. Now her presence felt like a violation of everything that had once been sacred to me.I turned away and walked into the living room, trying to escape the cloying scent of her perfume that seemed to follow me everywhere now.“Dominic?” My mother looked up from the sofa where she was watching the evening news. “What were you two doing in there? It sounded like you were having quite the argument.”I composed my features carefully, making sure nothing showed on my face. “Not

Kelsey’s povDominic stopped moving entirely, his whole body going rigid as he held the nurse’s cap between us. He examined it carefully before shifting his gaze to me. The room felt smaller suddenly. My face went hot, then cold, then hot again. “It’s just an ordinary hat,” I said quickly, reaching out to snatch it back from his grasp. “Nothing special about it.”Dominic stepped back, keeping the cap out of my reach. He bit down so hard on his molars that I heard the faint clicking sound his teeth made. His lips disappeared into a thin slash across his face, and a vein I’d never noticed before pulsed at his temple.“Why is this in your luggage, Kelsey?”“I—I don’t know,” I stammered, my mind racing for an explanation. “Maybe it got mixed up with my laundry somehow. These things happen.”“Do they?” His voice was quiet now, the kind of calm that preceded storms. “Because this looks exactly like the uniforms the nurses wear at the hospital where Penelope and Debbie were staying.”“Dominic

Kelsey’s POV“Bring everything inside,” I instructed the young maid who stood nervously in the hallway with my suitcases.“Yes, ma’am,” she replied quickly.I stood in the doorway of Dominic’s bedroom, taking in every detail of the space I’d dreamed about for years. This room had once belonged to Penelope. I ran my fingers along the vanity table, imagining Penelope doing the same thing years ago. She’d slept in this bed, used this bathroom, looked out these windows, but those days were over forever. Now this was my domain. Finally, I was where I belonged. Not as a guest, not as Dominic’s occasional companion, but as the future Luna of this pack. The woman who would bear his children and stand beside him as his equal.Dominic’s parents had been surprisingly supportive once they accepted the reality of my pregnancy. His mother, Luna Sophia, had immediately arranged for the best pack doctors to monitor my condition. His father had insisted I move into the main house where I could be prope

Penelope’s POVI looked down at our intertwined fingers as Edward held my hand on the sofa. His skin felt warm against mine, but something about his touch didn’t quite feel right. Maybe it was just nerves about the ritual.“I mean it, Penelope,” Edward said earnestly. “If I could take the pain of awakening for you, I would do it in a heartbeat.”“That’s very sweet of you,” I replied softly. “But this is something I have to do myself.”Edward’s thumb stroked across my knuckles in small circles. “I just hate the thought of you suffering. You’ve been through so much already.”I appreciated his concern, but part of me wondered if any man could truly understand what this meant. The awakening wasn’t just about gaining power—it was about connecting with generations of Moon Goddess heritage, about becoming who I was always meant to be.“I think I need some time alone tonight,” I said gently. “To prepare mentally for what’s coming.”Edward’s face fell slightly, but he nodded. “Of course. But ju

  • Alpha's Regret: Return of the Rejected Mate   Chapter 88: Maintaining The Disguise

Edward’s POVI stood under the hot spray of Penelope’s guest bathroom shower, letting the hot water wash away the sweat and grime from hours of labor at the lake. The work had been satisfying in more ways than one—not only had I helped clean the sacred site, but I’d also ensured no traces of my previous sabotage remained.Stepping out of the shower, I grabbed a towel and wiped the steam from the bathroom mirror. My reflection stared back—handsome, trustworthy Edward with his amber eyes and charming smile, hiding what lay behind his skin. From my coat pocket, I retrieved a small glass jar filled with silvery ointment. The label read “Moonveil Ointment” in elegant script, though most wolves had never heard of such a thing. It was a Rogue creation, designed specifically to mask supernatural scents.I twisted the lid open forcefully, my jaw clenching as I remembered Debbie’s innocent but devastating observation. “Uncle Edward smells bad.” The child’s enhanced senses were becoming a serious
