Lexi’s POV

Tristan’s voice carried a calm authority that demanded silence, even before he finished speaking.

“Very good then,” he said, his tone smooth but commanding. “You have a council hall we can sit in, I presume? We have a lot to discuss.”

For a moment, I simply stood there, my throat tight, unsure whether to speak or bow. There was something about him, his presence was suffocating, yet magnetic.

I found my voice after a breath. “Yes, sir, Your Majesty. This way, please.”

The air felt heavier as I turned and led him toward the hall beside the packhouse.

Every step he took echoed with purpose. The wolves around bowed their heads instinctively, some trembling as he passed. His aura seemed to press on everyone, dominance in its purest form.

Inside the council hall, the air felt charged. The scent of old parchment, oil lamps, and lingering tension filled the space.

I took my place on the raised platform at the end of the long table, while Tristan was guided to the seat of honor

  • Alpha’s Regret: The Return Of The Betrayed Luna    Chapter 198

Lexi’s POVThe day so far had drained every ounce of strength from me. It felt like I’d spent hours walking with a rocks tied to my back, moving from one issue to the next, answering questions, calming frightened pack members, trying to stay composed when all I wanted was a moment to breathe. In all the chaos, I had not even checked on the kids. Guilt pushed through me, a quiet reminder that while the world felt like it was collapsing, three little lives were waiting for me, needing me.Their room was halfway down the hall, the same one they insisted on sharing because, in their words, “We’re a team forever.” I pushed open the door. The glow of the TV filled the room. Wayne and Dexter were sprawled on the rug, arguing in whispers about which cartoon character was stronger. Nia was curled on the bed, hugging her teddy, her attention fully on the screen. The moment they noticed me, everything stopped.“Mama!” Nia squealed, jumping off the bed.Wayne and Dexter scrambled up too, their fe

  • Alpha’s Regret: The Return Of The Betrayed Luna    Chapter 197

Sophia’s POVThe air in the room felt heavier the longer I sat with the old woman. Her eyes, clouded yet piercing, held stories older than most packs combined. I had asked the question gently, almost afraid of the answer myself.“Is there… anything we can use?” I repeated, fingers twisting in my lap. “Something… anything that could convince the Alpha King to leave us alone? To show him the truth about Lunara?”The old woman’s gaze lowered, her wrinkles folding deeper. For a moment she looked as if the weight of decades sat on her shoulders. When she finally spoke, her voice rasped like fabric dragged over stone.“No. Not here. Not with me.”The words fell like a blow. I swallowed, forcing myself to breathe through the disappointment, but she wasn’t finished.“But,” she added, lifting a hand, “there may be something in the place where Lunara lived. She kept her secrets close... It is possible she left behind something only her blood, or someone desperate enough, would look for.”My he

Lexi’s POVManny was still sitted in front of me, waiting for me to say something, but my mind wasn’t in the room anymore. It drifted, uninvited, down the paths I had pushed aside, saying I would address later, I was not ready to confront that side of myself. Watching him look so afraid, afraid of losing me, lit something inside me I had buried so deep I had started convincing myself it no longer existed. But it did.It was still there. That quiet, stubborn, painful love. And I hated that it still hurt.Because how was I supposed to go back to him after everything? After the day I gave birth, when he was ready to throw me out without listening? After every moment he believed anyone but me? Those wounds did not heal just because he finally understood. Then my mind shifted, as it always did when I thought about this situations. Jax, who had been solid ground when everything else cracked beneath me. Who never doubted me. Who always chose my side without hesitation. He built Rogue Hav

Manny’s POVI sat there long after Lexi left, staring at the door like it might suddenly open and bring her back. But it didn’t.It just stayed closed, like it always does when she walks toward him. Toward Tristan.I had gone to my room now, with the help of Danny who now sat across from me, pretending to scroll through something on his phone, but I could tell he was watching me in his peripheral vision. He always did that thing, acting casual when the silence grew too heavy.“You are going to burn a hole through that door if you keep staring at it like that,” he said finally.I didn’t laugh. “Maybe that’s the only way I’ll get her back.”Danny lowered the phone, his brows lifting. “That bad, huh?”I leaned back against the chair, running a hand through my hair. “Worse,” I muttered. “Every time she walks away like that… I feel like I lose her a little more. And what’s worse? I let it happen. I just sit at the back and everything goes on.”Danny studied me, not saying anything yet. Tha

  • Alpha’s Regret: The Return Of The Betrayed Luna    Chapter 194

Lexi’s POVThe moment Tristan’s messenger appeared at the door, my stomach knotted. He didn’t say much, he didn’t have to.“The Alpha King wishes to see you,” he announced, voice steady but his gaze avoiding mine.I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room shift toward me, questions hovering in the air.I exhaled, slowly, like I could push the fear out with my breath. It didn’t work. My pulse throbbed in my throat, stubborn and loud.I nodded, pretending to be calm. “Tell him I’ll come,” I said, and the man inclined his head before disappearing. For a few seconds, no one spoke. Manny’s eyes were darker than usual, his jaw tight. “You don’t have to go alone,” he muttered.“I do,” I said softly. “There's no telling what he'll do if I go with someone.”Manny wanted to argue, I could see it in the tension around his mouth, but he swallowed it. I stood, straightened my clothes, and left before I could talk myself out of it.When I stepped outside the packhouse, heading toward the quarte

Jax’s POV“So what now?” I asked, staring at the table where the three of us sat.Manny leaned forward, elbows on his knees, still limping, it's been weeks I thought he'd be better but now.Lexi sat beside him, just staring into space, completely absent minded.“I don’t know,” Manny said, voice low. “He has made his intentions clear. He wants to take her, and people like that do not joke with covenants and stuff like that.”Lexi scoffed, shaking her head. “He’s delusional. My mother would never…” She stopped mid-sentence, her voice breaking slightly. “I just… I don’t understand any of this. Why now? Why me?”I leaned back in my chair, rubbing the back of my neck. “Because people like him always think they can take what they want. It’s a pattern. Power gives them blindness.”Manny glanced at her, eyes filled with that same quiet desperation that had been haunting him since last night. “He won’t have you, Lexi. Not while I am alive.”She looked at him, and something softened in her gaze
